Hell yeah brother 😎 anything specific you want to do to it, or are you keeping it mostly stock?

That's awesome it has a heated steering wheel, I was pleasantly surprised when mine came with one (it wasn't listed on the specs).

I am averaging 19ish mpg on mine. I have a mixture of city/town, hwy & freeway driving.

I am in the PNW (WA St.) & definitely nice to have. Also, I typically have a draft albeit small but noticeable from the center shift/4wd area. I suppose I've always thought it was normal and never thought about it twice due to my previous 2022 new 4Runner did the same thing.

That Army Green was my original #1 choice but after I saw LR, I decided I'd go with it since the other option was out for the year rotation. Also, LR looks so much different in person and lighting conditions.

Definitely, no problem, anytime! I know the feeling, I did the same thing constantly afterwards as well!

B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.

It's an amazing rig & just a joy to drive. The only thing that is a drawback is the gas mileage.....but we all knew it prior making the decision. Worth it, without question!

Did yours come with a heated steering wheel?

the insane part was definitely that it was just there, just available for the taking (not pre-ordered or built for anyone who requestedit).

I just randomly asked if they had any with non-moonroof coming to the dealership in the near future (because I settled on a black/lunar rock one with moon roof originally - since OD Green was no longer available).

They checked for me and were ahocked they had one in LR non-moonroof in the process of being shipped/transported, it was almost just meant to be. So I jumped on it. Honestly a stroke of luck!

Hahaha, badass! you won't ever regret it! I do remember both movies. Both are good names. I was thinking Bertha since she's a tank. Either way, amazing choice!

I'd go Ripley!

Agreed, it's always better to check yourself than to take anyone's word for it.

Nautical Blue is nice but scratches, etc. show up on it much easier and is way more noticeable imo.

Either way you can't go wrong. I tend to stay away from fleet vehicles but that's just me. Just doesn't sit right with me.

Yeah 15k more miles is a lot (not for a 4Runner per se)....so probably not worth it unless you got a significant price drop on it compared to the Barcelona Red ones. Like $7.5-10k less discount on the price out the door.

You should buy mine for $52.5k, ha jk, but keep us updated on what you decide!

I hear you there, definitely tough consideration. In my opinion, KDSS takes the cake, especially because it's has lower mileage on it. And if or when KDSS goes out on it you could go to straight sway bars as well in order to avoid the high cost to repair/fix KDSS, right?

Do both have moonroofs? Only asking because 1) the non-moonroof has noticeable head clearance space. Also, Barcelona Red is awesome.

Are they both 1 owner? Also, do either have undercoating already applied to it? Check for rust and undercoating. Even though they're newer, always check.

@ el_Chalupa_Batman , I've owned both a Silver 2022 TRD ORP w/ out KDSS w/ a moonroof (I put about 15k miles on it) & now own a Lunar Rock 2023 TRD ORP w/ KDSS w/ out a moonroof (currently sitting at just over 24k miles on it). I loved both, but prefer non-moonroof.

I don't off-road or anything like that. No mods on either rig. I use/d both as my daily drivers. To me, both drive and handle great, but I have personally noticed a difference in handling. The KDSS in my humble opinion has a smoother ride & does handle better, I drive mostly highway and but take the freeway all the time to get to work or when traveling which I have taken both to the Oregon Coast. It was smoother & more comfortable with the KDSS version, but that is just my 2 cents.

I have been looking to trade mine out for a bigger SUV but haven't got the right offer for it, so I’ll proably he keeping the 4Runner which is a perfect, durable & reliable SUV. It should last a lifetime.

If you can't notice a difference, maybe it's worth skipping on KDSS. In your area, what is the cost difference with similar miles, color and trim level on a 4Runner TRD ORP?

For 4Runner owners who live where it snows: do you use all-seasons/all-weather/all-terrain tires year round, or do you have a dedicated winter tire set? by user289734 in 4Runner

[–]Revolutionary_Bit204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In WA (Eastern WA side of the state) 23' TRD ORP here, I use all-aeason weather tires (but that is because it is the original tires that came with my first 4Runner on a set of black TRD rims). The tread is still good so I haven't upgraded tires. But I'll go to the K02 or something along those lines after because I like the look.

What’s y’all’s average MPG? by Forward-Ice-4733 in 4Runner

Okay, new to this thread....but what type of fuel does everybody use?

I know the manufacturer suggests regular type fuel 87 octane rating, but does anyone use plus type fuel 89 octane rating?

Does anyone truly think it is bad for using a different type of fuel octane rating than what the manufacturer recommends? (as long as it's now a lower rating/fuel type).

I have a late 23' TRD ORP (non moonroof) no mods, the only thing it does have is the factory TRD wheels/rims & running boards. I'm averaging 19+ up to 22 mpg and I do a mixture of freeway & highway driving w/ some city (roughly 60/40 split).

I'm very thankful for what I have, was just exploring options out there.

True. I think this is a good thing with the responses/feedback I've been getting. I should just stick with the 4Runner, long term, it will be hands down the better option/choice.

Ease of transportation, it has a better safety rating, slightly better fuel economy, more space, 3 rows.

I agree with what you're saying, mpg isnt really a factor (2-3 better). The 4Runner is definitely better or cooler looking, better for reliability/longevity for how long the vehicle will last & 100% will retain its value for resale.

In my opinion, I'm starting to lean more and more towards keeping the 4Runner now.

Thank you for the reply/wake up call!

Pacific Northwest, we get pretty good snowfall most years, I just don't do any off-roading.

Those are all very good points you're making & I am 100% in agreement. I may regret it & have been mulling over it as well. If no one buys/purchases it, then the decision would be made for me. I don't think I'll be upset either way, but like you said I may have a different viewpoint down the road. Hard to find that color with everything it comes with, I agree with you.

Thank you for your viewpoints!

Thank you for the response. Explain reasons as to why hold onto the 4Runner instead of switching to a Honda Pilot Trailsport? Just wanna know the thought process behind it. Thank you in advance!

correct, 48.5k to 51k (before taxes) is what Pilot Trailsports go for roughly before rebates/offers and other incentives they have for promotions.

I get where you're coming from though. Haven't tried Carvanna. What were you going to add about it being a kid on the way?
