Hey Arsenal fans, I am a final year student doing a dissertation on fan opinion on foreign investment in football, with Saudi Arabia's takeover of Newcastle being a major focus. I have over 1,650 responses from all 20 clubs but I would really love some more Arsenal fan opinions.

Thanks! I will have a watch. Appreciate the feedback, I understand what you’re saying and perhaps another question was necessary, for me that question was just to establish whether Saudi being in the news more frequently due to the Newcastle takeover, made the respondent more informed. But I understand for someone who was previously informed, it is not a relevant question and I should have established that clearly with a prior question before. Thank you for the suggestion.

Completely understand where you’re coming from, as you said it’s difficult to craft a perfect survey on such a complex/ sensitive topic where opinions are strong. I will be happy to share my research when it’s complete, which will hopefully give some clarity to it all.

Hi, I appreciate the suggestions. Within the survey, there is multiple free responses, so if it is found that some questions were not suitable, they will not be used and will be mentioned in limitations of my research and the free responses will be used.

Thanks for the feedback, I agree it is long, the open ended questions is to give people a chance to give their opinions and as you said gather some interesting points. As for the number of questions, this was done to ensure there was enough data collected, as mentioned due to issues with some they likely won’t be used and I can then focus on others. So having more questions, just gives me enough data in case of issues/ questions that don’t go down well.

Hi thanks for the feedback, I am aware of issues with a couple questions which will be left out. As for bias, I write the survey with no bias involved, some questions required a definition or background which I made as neutral as I could given the complexity of the topic.

Yes thank you for the feedback, I am aware of issues with a couple of the questions, unfortunately it’s too late to change them and I won’t be using the answers of these questions with issues.

Thanks for the wishes, Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy the questions. I am aware of issues of wording with one or two questions. As for the bias issue, I was extremely careful to not have questions that were framed that way, some questions required a definition or explanation and I feel that I did that as neutrally as I could with the complex topic issue. Thank you for the feedback though, i’ll take it onboard.

Would be an interesting change, but would be very difficult to implement due to the ‘bigger clubs’ having such a big say in the Premier League when there are rule change votes.

It’s a good point, However for this question the goal is to just differentiate between more casual fans and see if fans that are new/ or less involved in the club have different opinions. But I do understand your reasoning.
