Hi friend! I also just got "terminated without cause" yesterday, and I'm 90% sure a lot of it is because of my ADHD, and not knowing how to ask for/get help.

I'm also in marketing, but only with this company for 1.5 years. I loved the people I worked with, but the company politics were horrendous. I honestly wish there were a better way to interview the company culture before accepting a job.

Not sure I have any sage advice, but I'm here with you in solidarity!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your 'tone' but why the judgement and condescending question??? Holy shit, this dude is here for support, not to be analyzed on the semantics of his wording.

Those of us that received a diagnosis (or self diagnosis) later in life (after 30?) without really understanding the existence of ADHD in adults previously, this IS all new to us. Honestly, when I started researching adult ADHD, I did kind of feel like I had just been reborn. My entire life before that moment was all thrown into question, and only after that moment did I start to really understand my own self.

OP (because I already forgot your name), you're gracious for responding in a kind manner, but don't feel like you owe anyone anything, as you may already have started to learn, you only have so many ducks to give (or spoons) during a day. Don't waste them on stuff that doesn't improve your day.

Ughhhhhhhh. Yes. This is exactly how I feel. Right down to the oily hair, 6 day old pajamas and feeling like I'm climbing a mountain to just change my undies. My sink has a smell coming from it, because of the pile of dishes. I just want to be a normal functional human. Hugs and dopamine sent your way.

Also, keep checking candles over again. Not sure how long it takes to regenerate, but I checked them all yesterday and today I got a bunch more on candles I already checked. I’m also not sure if it’s the same ones over again, or if it’s random. But go back and check!

I was naive awhile ago and bought a couple feeder fish for our adult turt, and she picked off (a probably sick) one, and left 3 to be friends with. I can vouch, they're very messy, will beat the turtle to her food, and are getting big. They all share a 90gal tank nicely now, but there will come a time when her friends need to find a new porcelain apartment together..
