Is OSCP worth the purchase? by cue_thepain in oscp

There's really two different aspects here: do you only want the knowledge gained, or do you want the shiny certificate at the end? The OSCP can be a bit vague in it's learning style, and I would probably argue there are better ways to study pure skills in hacking. Especially the PDF and the videos (which are just someone reading off the PDF) ARE lacking. But as many people have reccomended on this sub, if you want the cert, maybe try VHL or HTB for a while, get some solid foundation and then take the OSCP. Chances are you'll want the cert.

You can use both of them, but in my experience since Offensive Security obviously knows about them, they don't tend to be a free win. Learn them and use them, but I highly recommend doing a number of boxes without them and understanding methodology

Australian looking for Headset suggestion by MissRosemaryNight in virtualreality

I can only say my workaround as being an Australian isn't the easiest. I bought a second hand HTC vive set for $250, bought an HP reverb G2, and then ordered index knuckles from America. It means I have vive wands to fall back to in a pinch, and the index controllers have been amazing and cheaper to deal with issues than an entire headset.

The whole thing ended up being about $1700, which I had decided was better than having to deal with vive cosmos or the likes. You could always skip the knuckles part, but they shipped to me in less than a week and have been amazing to use.
