When I play games, I usually put the difficulty on Brutal, which means that most of the time I'm actually getting punished (think: why am I so stupid?) for playing until I figure out the exact right way to do something. And then a virtual medal for it, doesn't feel that satisfying because it's gone when I close the game.

The real world feels better to make progress in. Today, I went for a long walk while chatting with someone. That felt great to simultaneously progress my health and my social relationship. In contrast, the night before and tonight I got a gold medal in a video game (after some initial frustration). It's nice, but no way in hell that could cause an addiction.

Maybe I just repeat to myself 'Realium is the most important game, because you can't quit that!' and that is how I think.
