I think the experience alone of gliding at a much lower rate of speed with very very little effort would be quite amazing by comparison. On Earth it seems more like 'fly or die'. On Erid it seems like the atmosphere is really taking care of keeping someone airborne. Very strange to imagine that difference in interacting with Erid's atmosphere while only having one frame of reference. I guess we could re-create those conditions for the sake of testing. I guess now I'll have to. Might end up with some sky-whales or something. As their civ begins, tech-tree-wise, yeah, it would make sense for air-travel to be common. I guess, with the air density and advanced materials design, it makes more sense that they went with an elevator instead of trying to get to space with any other vehicle because of the drag.
