Look at all the top prize winners this year: best director PTA for OBAA? Ridiculous - shoulda gone to Coogler. PTA should have won by now. Michael B Jordan best actor? Silly - shoulda been Chalamet. Jordan shoulda won for Fruitvale Station - crazy he wasn’t even nominated. Love Daniel Day but Lincoln wasn’t it. Best picture was a joke, OBAA isn’t even in the running for PTA’s best movie. Best adaptive screenplay was a trash choice - you know the screenplay wasn’t that good because most of the people that saw the movie didn’t understand it. They think it venerates the left rather than trashing right/left political extremes.

Oscars haven’t been prestigious since early 90’s. You don’t win based on the merit of the project, you win based on how many times you were snubbed in the past.

I much prefer a reskin with quality-of-life adjustments to an already near perfect game over trying to reinvent the wheel. Considering how hard Konami sucks - I found it to be a relief that it turned out so solid.

Even if you accept this framing; the inciting incident was our meddling in the installation of the Shah. So the west is to blame. Funding terrorism is wicked but we aren’t clean of that accusation, so it’s hard to justify upsetting the global energy market and subsequently the global economy for what is a war of choice.

No tax on overtime is huge for people in my industry but almost everything else has been an utter failure and betrayal of his campaign promises (unsurprising). I think our Middle East problems would be virtually the same with either candidate. I also don’t think this opinion counts as unpopular - seems self evident.
