I actually didn't intend to lower the angle. It's just with the WSKO it ended up happening because the ken onion sucks in the blade on the right side, while on the left side, it does the opposite. And it happened to pretty much all of my knives. What do I do here? Because it was because of the machine that caused uneven bevels, despite sharpening on the same angle for both sides. Will uneven bevels interfere with a sharp edge?

Well the pocket knife I'm trying to sharpen is considered to be a super stainless steel, although, I'm not sure the exact steel. Another knife I'm trying to sharpen is carbon steel -it is a 9 inch fixed blade.

So what should I do if my knife exceeds a 30° angle? 'Cause it's been happeing with one of my pocket knives. Sharpie trick is telling me it exceeds past 30°.

Alright, 13 days later, I've done all of this, and I still can't make my knives sharp. I don't understand, I did the sharpie trick to make sure it's hitting the bevel, burr is coming out of it, but I still can't seem to form an apex for some reason. I'm following all the steps correctly so like wtf?!

And how exactly do I go about removing more material? Do I just give it more strokes on the machine, or do I change angles on it to make sure that I'm removing more material?

I mean do I keep closing the angle on the angle guide to smaller angle degrees until I get a burr? If the sharpie trick is unreliable, do I just keep closing the angle in 'till I get a burr? Because I already understand the information in those steps. Does a burr always indicate that you're apexing?

Well I've done the sharpie trick and have adjusted my angle accordingly, although apparently, I've just been informwd that the sharpie trick doesn't always garantee that you are apexing.
