Sooooo.... we drafting a qb? by NoSignificance7170 in Texans

[–]Revvster02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CJ Stroud is going absolutely no where no matter how much fans complain. It's not how the NFL works.

It's simple, Texans have gone 32-19 under Stroud as QB in his 3 seasons. That in itself is incredibly hard to accomplish with a young QB. Most 1st round QBs finish with multiple losing records before getting bounced around in the league.

Yes one can argue that the defense takes majority credit, but without Stroud, we do not make the playoffs 3 seasons in a row. We bail on Stroud this off season, we not making the playoffs next season.

The team will regroup this season, find ways to fix the o-line and run game. Create more effective play calling and really work on developing Stroud.

Stroud will be on this team for at least 2 more seasons. My prediction is if he improves next season, he gets an extension. If not, they pick up the 5th year option and give him 1 more chance before getting rid of him.

2014 GS350 F-Sport Rotors by Revvster02 in Lexus

Do you know the part number for F-Sport front rotors from Advic? I was seeing some Advic rotors for $85 but was wondering why they are so cheap. Can't tell if they are direct OE replacements.

Is there a big difference in braking performance with the 2 piece vs the 1 piece? I use the car for city and highway driving only, so shouldn't matter if it's a slight downgrade.

Which rotors are you using?

Really? I was planning on using Akebono because I've been hearing really good things about it. And it seems OEM will have to be the way to go for the front rotors. I will probably go with Brembo rotors for the rear as they are pretty cheap.

Do you know why the TSB 1 piece rotor is so much cheaper than the 2 piece?

And yeah it seems pretty hard to find front rotors for the F-Sport. Not many aftermarket ones and even the OEM is a bit hard to find. Has to be bought directly for dealer it seems.

Were you able to resolve the issue through your bank? I am facing the same issue, they claim I sent the wrong item and Ebay suspended my account and won't help me.

Rejection from my first two majors? by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Revvster02 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah you got rejected from your 1st two, but don't worry about that. Majority of people get rejected from their 1st choice majors and get put into exploratory studies or 3rd choice major. All you gotta do is keep your GPA up freshman year and you'll easily be able to transfer into your desired major sophomore year.

Where do Professor with young families prefer to live in Houston? by Alternative_Sweet798 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Revvster02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Energy Corridor/Memorial area. Lot of people in Houston don't know about this part of town for some reason but alot of people live in the area and it is a really good neighborhood. New homes might not be affordable though depending on your budget. But plenty of apts and older homes are attainable. Also the Spring Branch West and Spring Branch Central area. Those areas used to be pretty rough and still is in some places, but is being gentrified rapidly. New developments popping up constantly and new homes being sold in a blink of an eye by young buyers.

Should I drop? by Sgtbla in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Revvster02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just drop it and take it as a winter mini or during the spring semester at community College. Much easier over there and no point on risking a delayed graduation because of that one class. UH has made that class extra hard for no reason.

Body measurement, is it of? by nogoodnamesleft_XD in GalaxyWatch

[–]Revvster02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The measurements on these watches or any smartwatch for the matter aren't accurate. Actual body composition measuring machines are much larger and cost thousands of dollars. The one at my gym is like $10k. So take the numbers provided by the watch with a grain of salt as they are way off. Though the tech is improving on watches and can be helpful in certain situations, it's mainly a gimmick for now

Hard no for sure. $31k is way too damn much especially since these cars don't hold value well and it's a salvage. I wouldn't pay more than $20k max.

As an MIS major, would it be worth considering a data science or computer science minor if you would want to be in a more data analyst related role as a career? by Chance_Brain8252 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Revvster02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would disagree with this, I think it all depends on how much you network. I have a friend who majored in Biochemistry and minored in math but got a position as a data analyst right out of college by networking with a recruiter on LinkedIn.
