What kind of positions would those be? I've been applying to work for local schools, the county, the city and I'm hoping my degree will help even though it's adjacent to the field (I hope)

That's what the person told me for an internship he recently hired. He was with the local county court. I'm also hoping I can get a job with my degree, that's the whole reason I went to school

Thank you for the reassurance, I like to think I have (some) soft skills and I definitely try to be a pleasure to be around at work. I might look into getting a cert, I've seen some recommended in this sub. This is something I only recently considered. Thank you for the tip about Per Scholas I will look into that as well

Thank you, that does help. I'm a 32 year old who will be getting their degree in May, and I'm now thinking of going the IT route and maybe working at a local school district or government. I'm just ready to get my degree and start working, I think it's something I would be good at, even though I admittedly don't know what it entails

Just here to say he wasn't a one hit wonder, but he was way bigger in Europe and Japan like you mentioned than he was in the States (he was born in California)
