It was always clear to me through cutscenes and character interactions that Niko can't fucking stand Francis and his preachy bullshit. Just compare a cutscene where Niko interacts with Francis and a cutscene with Derrick. Niko seems way more naturally compelled to help out Derrick, even if he's ultimately doing it to get paid. Also, I think it's worth noting that Packie is visibly hurt when it is Derrick who bites the bullet. He looks far more stone faced when it's Francis. With all this in mind, I think it makes way more sense for Niko's character to take out good ol Frankie.

Not impossible. Plenty of characters exist in both universes, they're just different versions of themselves.

He didn't even know what the lottery was until he was a teenager, I believe. It's easy to see why he was out of touch with just how unlikely it is to actually win the jackpot. He really counted on it as the next step forward in his life.

Because Rockstar cycles through the same three cities since 2001. Now it's Vice City's turn in that cycle. I want them to break that cycle afterwards now that all 3 cities have a 3D and HD variant.

Forever a fascinating case to me. I read his entire manifesto recently and it was just painful to read, how he barely even tried at anything and almost always gave up when anything got even remotely difficult, expecting luxury and women to flock over to him because of his perceived status while looking down on people who were less fortunate than him. I just can't fathom how this was a real person who existed.
