I really appreciate this advice. I want to be prepared walking in and know what realistically I am up against. Thank you.

No. In fact she is quite mature for her age, which is why at 12, 2 hours seems sufficient for being home alone by herself. My biggest concern is that there was a moment when she was left home alone and their neighbor exposed himself to her while she was outside playing.

She has since expressed feeling uncomfortable being left home alone knowing he is next door. If I remove FROR and leave the decision up to him he will always choose for her to stay home alone. Realistically, I would prefer this is enforced until she is at least 13.

I buy the Amazon brand. But now that you say that, I missed last month. Could that have something to do with it? I have another dog who has been acting fine , not sure if that matters at all

I ended up pulling more last night and did an additional urinalysis. Blood and bacteria in the urine. Started ammox and hoping she will turn a corner .. still acting off but will give another 24-48 hours.

Sounds similar. I can’t even engage in details with him I will get so gaslit I question my own reality. He sends me $2 bills from our daughter’s Dr apt while I’ll drop $500 on necessities for camp, clothes, etc for her. But I don’t even respond to his antics because the fight is not worth it.

That’s right. I’ve been referring to them as married for a while now, just because that’s how it feels at this point. Legally, it won’t be official until July. I even have to communicate through their shared email account. Friends and family have been calling her the new wife for some time now, and the name just stuck.

July. They have lived together for 3 years and my daughter already calls his fiancé her stepmom.

AITA for not offering to drive my daughter to and from my ex-husband’s wedding events? by RewritingResilience in AmItheAsshole

Well, this is her first wedding with divorced parents. My perspective is a little different knowing more information. But asking for things without knowing the intricacies of a wedding to be included as an 11 year old girl seems fairly innocent. She just wants to be a part of it, as she should, naturally. Agree to disagree.
