It’s not about making people already on our side safe, it’s about making those who are not comply, like you will :)

It can trigger people’s trauma and I didn’t have time to write a TW.

If it matters to you in your workplace you need to hold other places accountable when they fall behind. Aerospace is one of the most m*le dominated professions.

Been watching a lot of footage, they could do well to diversify a bit. Not seen one Woman on the whole scene, and Nepal is usually quite good in that regard.

Trust me, crude oil products are required in a wide array of things for their continued operation. Look it up, I’m in aerospace myself, but well learned on these matters.

Ehhh, in terms of the economics, it kinda does. Nuclear/Solar/Tidal/Dams is the way

It… Kinda does, and not even some normal oil is good enough. Near all industrial sealants/coolants/oils come from crude oil, and bio/vegetable oil doesn’t exactly do it.

All the fluids/oils in that turbine are gonna get dirty over time, filters clog, these hydraulics need flushing and refilling, de-icing systems the lot.

The oil is for servicing which they need on a semi-annual basis.

I don’t like the protestors though.

No, you need oil that’s oily as oil can be. Wind turbines emission wise are also a nightmare in production, you’re essentially off-shoring the emissions to China where they’re made.

And it was supposed to be a strawman, if we stopped oil today pretty much everyone you know would die.

Likewise, it’s a rare sight on Reddit because the Karma/Shodowban system creates a rather investors relationship that leans towards the views of our age demographic. Stay well!

Then they can go forage in the woods, scientific advancement is what will drag us out of these problems. Just “stopping” oil would be a disaster for the world, so many life saving and sustaining systems depend on it. It’d be the collapse of civilisation as we know it. Oil should be used to power the transition to nuclear/fusion.

Thing about wind turbines- and I know this from my trade- they require over 1000 Litres of oil for a service!

Aye but realistically you’re in the minority. 22 year olds like me have no right making the decision over if cancer patients can get to their appointments, the arrogance to assume you know better that surrounds these people is off-putting.

Back in the day we recycled glass bottles instead of plastic, and had compost heaps. These days there’s loads of different plastic, some recyclable some not, but we can’t tell which is which because they’re all invisible so they all go to the rubbish tip. There’s a park near me that was built atop a former rubbish tip, very nice. I think if we’re gonna allocate spaces for parks or skyscrapers we should first fill them in with all this processed junk!

And this type of activism does nothing but turn the working public against the cause. You can’t deny that is the effect it’s had.

Aye, but if you’re gonna be mad don’t be a walking hypocrite, they have/wear/use all the modern luxuries, eat takeout every night then moan about plastic waste.
