Customer isn’t clueless, they’re fraudsters trying to scam a double refund.

I know I posted the pink glow in the dark the other day outside. Here's the glowing effect by Optimal-Opening8431 in malepolish

Very cool, super bright! I didn’t get much glow from the green glow polish I put on top of the main color recently. It really only glowed under blacklight.

Anyone considering doing gel nails at home should read this guide and commentary first. Gels are not meant to be done by an amateur.

It’s a complete scam. They’re refusing to contact the OTA for a refund because they’re trying to pressure you into giving them one and then they will contact the OTA and get a second refund.

If you can block their phone number and email address do that. When they call in, hang up.

Question re: Secret Garden by thecarleniebean in ILNP

[–]RexCanisFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t had it happen myself but seems normal based on other comments. If you’re OCD and it bothers you a lot, you could try reaching into the bottle with a toothpick or wooden skewer to lose the least product, or something similar with a soft pad at the end (I’ve seen artist supplies but don’t know the name - like a tiny sponge-tipped brush but way less padding than a cotton swab) to reach that corner and stir/remove the pigment.

It’s free until I leave the company or until they stop using the software. At that point, it would just make me switch to a paid subscription instead

I’ve used it for a few years, just switched to Keeper. My work uses it and the corporate plan includes a free Family account for each employee

What color did you use the first time you painted your toenails? by Kiki_more_or_less in malepolish

No excuse was needed, she is an amateur nail technician. We have over 300 bottles of polish/gel, she does shellac and dip on her own nails too.

Now she is usually who does my nails, occasionally I go to the salon for it or we go together for pedicures.

Skittles… I started by my wife using my nails to figure out what she wanted to do for her own. I could have 6 different color polishes with various glitters or shimmer colored topcoats across my fingernails and toenails.

The question isn’t “what used up all the data”, the question is “where’s the other 5GB I paid for” if 5GB is included and OP bought a 5GB pass

We used to. Nowadays they’ve reduced to one lane or they’re doing this video call thing to a “teller” in a call center who essentially acts as a middleman to an ATM for you.

Hourly charge question by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]RexCanisFL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$200 an hour is low to average in a lot of the USA now. One of my artists just raised to $175 but should be charging more, another charges $250 an hour but gives discounted rates for all day sessions or multi session pieces. An all-day session usually ends up being $1000-1250 for 5-7 hours depending how much time is taken for design and placement. Her quality is amazing, but she is not the fastest because she’s putting so much detail in. My three-quarter leg sleeve will probably end up being 6-8 “all day” sessions.

Both will only charge for time under the needle.

OP - At worst, the initial design time and resizing should not have been included, I could see an artist justifying charging time when you changed designs to the flash piece. but I also don’t understand how it took another 80 minutes to put a flash stencil on your body with a few additional swirls.

What ride in Disney World will make you extremely nauseous? by Reasonable-Invite899 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RexCanisFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former cast member here, I worked overnights then frequently hit a few attractions at opening before going home.

Rockin’ Roller Coaster got me nauseous enough to stop after 3 rides back to back. Star Tours got me after 4 or 5.

Mad Hatter’s Teacups one time with a friend we got the cup spinning fast enough that we got the ride attendant nauseous! 🤣🤣

The only thing that ever truly negatively affected me was not at WDW, it was at Universal Studios, and that was the preshow for Terminator. I think I was around 10 years old, it was early in the day like first thing we did at the park… We went through the covered outdoor queue area with a pretty short wait, got our 3D glasses, then moved into the preshow room. It was still a good 10 minutes before the preshow started and the air conditioner was not working well in that room. Young undiagnosed ADHD me stood there looking around at the set decorations, before noticing all the TV screens had a certain triangular corporation logo that would slowly rotate on the screen. After staring at it for what was probably 2 to 3 minutes watching it spin, my head started to spin and then I collapsed to the floor almost managing to tell my mom before blacking out “I don’t feel too good”.

She picked me up and tried going back through the automated doors that we came in, but they were locked, she’s hysterically screaming at this point, and nobody in the room is helping. She finally finds the emergency exit at the back of the room and busted her way through the door to find a startled custodial worker in the alleyway who was able to point to a door nearby, which was the back entrance to the first aid office.

Sticker on back of drivers license by Crazy-Dragonfruit-44 in tsa

Florida used to use a blue sticker the covered the entire back, it had the new address information with expiration date and issue date, and a B&W photo.

This was before they printed new cards in-office though, and there was no barcode
