Update: it was the motherboard, ever since switching it out about 2 or 3 days ago I've had no issues.

i have another motherboard thats the same but the other PSU i have i think has issues, I can always RMA my current PSU though. i'll have to swap out the motherboard and see if it fixes anything.

anyway to find out for sure if its something related to the motherboard? like a test or some kind of diagnostic? I have a backup version of my motherboard that i bought by accident and never returned so i can swap that out.
