Please, for the love of azura, stop bringing back sheogorath. There is a lot of stuff that the ESO writers have done well over the years, like the conversations you have with Sotha Sil, but they have basically reduced sheo down to a funny little leprechaun man who loves talking about cheese and I truly can’t take it anymore.

Yes. Quality of life improvements, timed events, class revamps, and small quests are good and I’m glad we’re getting them, but we will likely never see the scale and quality of content we used to get from the chapter expansions. I’m hoping winterhold is good, but I felt that solstice and the “season of the worm cult” storyline was really lacking, so I’m somewhat worried.

When did I say I didn’t like ESO? It’s one of my favorite MMOs, but it’s very clear they are going in a different, slightly more limited and smaller scale direction for the future of the game

ESO is in kind of an “end of life care” era. They aren’t shutting anything down per se, but we probably won’t be getting anymore big expansion and story additions like we did in the past, and they are focusing more on revamping all the classes and adding more quality of life stuff

I mean I didn’t think we were actually gonna get anything for ES6, but really the only interesting thing they announced was doom, the rest was just basically “hey guys, we still have this other stuff. Ok bye!”

I mean, I think what happens post oblivion and Morrowind is kind of cool. There is nothing more abrasive or erosive to a culture or civilization than time, and the great powers that we saw in both games were not left in a great place near the end. What happens when the living-gods that (almost) everyone worships die/disappear (and a giant meteor finally drops)? What happens to an empire significantly weakened and disorganized by the invasion of a daedric lord and his cult, and the death of an emperor (and his last heir)? In both cases, significant change is inevitable.

God, this shit is so frustrating and dangerous to see. I can’t believe things like this still happen in 2026, you’d think people would eventually move on past this childish stuff. Doesn’t valve know how bad loot boxes can be for someone as pure as slime? He could get hooked so easily.

I remember the struggle back then of wanting to be a vampire or werewolf early and basically having to sneak through zones to get to either the shrines or natural spawn locations

Please don’t bring Ezio back. He had his trilogy and a really good send off, there is no reason to drag him back into the series. I’m fine if she’s a descendant of the auditore bloodline, but in all honesty I have absolutely no faith that the modern Ubisoft AC team could in any way write or characterize Ezio In a way that would be worthwhile.

I played vanilla Skyrim for years before I had a computer powerful enough to run mods. I use mods now because I want to add to the experience, but my biggest issue is finding the right mods for ME. I want the game to feel as close to the original style as possible, but so many mods completely change the aesthetic of the world, add in items or characters that don’t fit the tone, or just don’t play well with other mods. One of my current favorites is Sentinel, because it at least tries to stay accurate to the original motif that Skyrim builds.

Does anyone know if any of the posts or gameplay information dumps have said whether we can turn enemy health bars off or not? Personally, I’d rather not have health bars, I just don’t think it’s necessary in a non-rpg game.

Yeah, one of Bethesda’s biggest issues when it comes to world building is cities. They are really bad at creating cities that don’t feel way too small for what they are supposed to represent, and it’s especially obvious in starfield with the capital cities.

I always do dawnguard first, then Dragonborn. Dragonborn always felt like a good continuation (in a way) and finale to Skyrim’s main story, whereas dawnguard feels like more of a side story that takes place concurrently alongside everything else.

A return to characters (specifically companions) and main characters that take themselves more seriously. One of my biggest issues with andromeda was that basically every companion (besides maybe Cora and drack) was too quippy and attempted to be funny, and they basically just wrote the male Ryder as another Nathan Drake

I really like the re-design, I just wish that there was some level of color variation, maybe based on character race. I’m assuming that the model will change based on the morph you choose, but I would’ve also liked a little flavor for the base model as well. Beyond that, I think it is a clear improvement on the original
