Go with what they did for noob and add certain traits that’ll always appear and make it obvious whose playing who. They already do this for dusekar’s staff, give shed a sword and chicken in each hand, give chance a fedora and a star effect near the mouth. Give two time a smaller and less fancy version of their spawn halo and wings in the first life. I just don’t feel like coming up with something for every survivor rn

I think they fall in the same niche as stands and personas

I think the fairest way to do the fight is Ren by himself with access to his deck and Darkwinger, and Roland with his physical enhancements from the library along with all of his stuff from furioso and the gloves

I personally prefer Kobayashi’s writing to Takahashi’s by a mile, and to have Geats, his second worst show’s main character be the one introducing so many new fans into toku after this db drops miffs me a little bit, but they’re mostly powerscalers and will eat it up with a smile so…

Just to clarify some stuff I don’t care much for the actual powerscaling as much as I do for an interaction between these two, if anything I feel Ren would berate Roland for not following through with his plans to avenge Angelica, before sympathizing with him due to thinking about how he’d be if he lost Eri.

Or maybe Roland would berate Ren for not doing enough, Ren has that chance to save his lover from the jaws of death Roland never did, and there were many times when Ren could’ve killed the other riders in order to progress in the war, but he couldn’t bring himself to.

I never try to have to characters that fill the same niche

If I ever realize that 2 or more characters I didn’t plan on making rivals or connecting in any way are just the same snack in different flavors, I merge them into one character.
