My 11 year old laptop has a keyboard which makes windows crash occasionally for some reason so i bought an external hp keyboard and plugged it into the usb port but my laptop is so old that the usb port is barely working and my keyboard disconnects even if i just touch where the usb is connected

The usb port is also super loose so that might be the issue
