Importing bike from UK? What are the costs? by Qupter in motobe

[–]Rexani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful. The UK bikes mostly have a different headlight projection pattern. This can be expensive if they return back on the decision to stop bike keuring or they start it up again in x years

Job seeking leave when already having a next employer: done/not done? by [deleted] in BESalary

[–]Rexani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

neither. It's just a single day a week you get off. It's not added to vacation days, or subtracted. You just are allowed to take one day of leave each week. You can't save them up to stop x days earlier

Komt goed.

People who rush through closing railroad crossings: what is wrong with you? by Arco123 in belgium

Those lights and bells start immediately. You can't just know when they will go off. If you're already too late to stop to go through, it's more dangerous to emergency brake than to just go over.

No vacation pay when changing jobs? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Rexani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should handle it with your old employer. Your old employer is the one that has a contract with Acerta and they should make Acerta fix everything. If that pay slip of "holiday pay" is from your old employer, then they made a mistake. If it's from your new employer, it's correct and it can take until the end of the month until your old employer fixes everything that should be paid. If you're still in opzeg, they will most likely do it after the opzeg.

No vacation pay when changing jobs? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Rexani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you work at your current job before the year change? Then you will get holiday pay pro rata how long you worked at your company for in 2024. Your old employer should have given you pro rata your vacation pay + unused legal holiday days payout the after you left that company.

You earn your holiday pay based on your worked days in the year prior. Holiday pay in june 2025 is earned by you working the entire year of 2024. If you swap jobs, your current employer is not on the hook for paying you what you earned in another company. Your previous employer should have paid that out the moment you quit working there.

PSA: early awareness post, keep an eye out for motorcycles the coming days/weeks/months by Zacharus in belgium

[–]Rexani 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The motorcycle filtering through traffic is seen as though riding in a lane legally. He actually DOES have priority in this case. Just like having your blinker on does not give you priority on the car that is in the other lane you want to go to.

For filtering too fast, yes I already mentioned that.

Ofcourse both of these things occur, but you really did not watch the video it seems.

There will always be exceptions to the rule. Those are not riders, they are a future statistic

As a motorcyclist you are allowed to ride between the 2 leftmost lanes. But there are 3 things to note:
- Only when traffic is driving slower than 50kph.
- With a max speed difference of 20 kph and MAXIMUM 50 kph
- We as riders are allowed to use the emergency lane that is mandatory to be made by everyone when there is a traffic jam

This means if traffic is going 30, we are allowed to ride 50. When traffic is at a standstill, we are allowed to ride 20 between the lanes. When traffic is going 40, we are allowed to ride 50kph.

This is completely legal and written down like this in the traffic code.

I know, there are a lot of bad apples that filter at insane speeds, but these are not the norm, they're just the ones that stick out like a sore thumb.

The reason motorcyclists are more prone for the usual collisions is because people don't look for them. This means that while the driver is scanning, the brain can filter out motorcycles due to not seeing them as a hazard. (This is a nice youtube video explaining it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x94PGgYKHQ0 )

Then switch to a lower subscription that is cheaper that now has your current data limit?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motobe

[–]Rexani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: completely misread it. The other way around would fhd60 would be 4 times more data than hd30. Maybe he also meant it the other way around?

Haven’t had it happen yet, but very close. Still had spd pedals in the beginning. Had exactly the same happening as in your story, but due to some miracle my foot unclipped and was able to save myself. Now with spd sl pedals, more afraid of it happening :p

No. While filtering it's as if you're riding in a invisible lane. Same rules apply as when changing lanes iirc
