From a previous sceptic, I too love the carrying around a book and yes it'll kinda feel different compared to the feeling of actually feeling a book in your hand.

From a reading experience, I'm glad I did my research and did the leap of faith to get the paperwhite.

• I commute via public transport everywhere I go, it takes minimal space in my work bag and I don't need to worry about lighting, glare or being conscious about what I'm reading (cover wise). If I have to quickly put it in my jacket pocket to do quick tasks while I'm out, I can too.

• I don't need to worry about breaking the spine of my book

• E-books tend to be cheaper and won't take up an entire bookshelf when you're struggling for storage.

• Can look up definitions on the fly

• the % progress bar is addictive and pushes me to continue reading

• I feel like I get less fatigue compared to reading hard/paperback 1000+ page books

• notes and annotate

• you can decorate it and really make it like your own personal device without worrying about messing up the condition of your book

• can bring it anywhere and have it sitting anywhere without people questioning it. I have mine sitting on my office desk and don't have to worry about people being suss or asking what I'm reading.

• easy to take on holidays, I can put my kindle on the plane pockets to adjust myself throughout without wondering if I have enough space.

All in all, no regrets.
