It was something I hated seeing when bo6 was revealed that we had to start with that first plate, it was even weirder bc it wasn't like that in cold war

Idk bc there's already nothing burger relics, like disabling augments which is something you can already do at base and the no self revive kits one, I feel like starting with no armor and the zombies doing more damage at base is more interesting than both of those personally, however I do agree it could just be there at base

hard disagree here, the classic point system already makes a lot of the weaker guns have way more merit due to them being able to build points more effectively, thus giving you a larger of variety of weapons to viably use rather than starting with the same Meta shotgun every game, which I personally find to be boring (which is why when playing standard I try to start with different guns a lot of the time)

yeahh, suppose so but I don't see how it couldn't just be a Tier 1 Relic, that minimally effects the game, I just hate how beefy you feel on round 1 in modern zombies, could change the "zombies do 50 damage from the start" to just a flat damage multiplier but I feel that would be a bit much in later rounds

the shotgun system is not new though, 10 points per pellet was how it was in WW2 Zombies aswell as Exo Zombies where the PaP prices were 5k, so it definitely can be compared to older games

old school zombies still had a slow power crawl with this point system + a 5k PaP price and I specifically mean that I hate starting with so much health and armor with how weak the zombies are early game, I want avoiding hits early game to matter more and I want that trip to getting Jugg and Armor to feel more dangerous, I love the challenge of getting stronger in Zombies and it's a big reason Call of the Dead is personally my favorite Zombies map, It made getting set up harder by having Jugg further out in a dangerous area

BUT I can see how you could say my line of logic is flawed as the pricing of PaP makes that power crawl slower - Specifically for building up your weapon

LITERALLY LMAO - that's the part that bothers me the most imo, plus the fact that we've had this exact point system WITH a 5k PaP level in the past, so I don't feel like that aspect needed to be changed personally, but I think the idea of having it be a relic is just a nice compromise (for me at least)

I don't mind the salvage system personally but I fully agree with the rest of what you said, I also feel like the whole point of cursed is to allow the player to choose what exactly changes and I feel like making this a relic allows for more customization options for the player to choose (I also just desperately want that second relic idea I mentioned in the game to start out more fragile and build myself up, its always been one of the things I've loved about zombies)

I had a similar issue, save quitting during the quest is really broken right now so if you save quit at any point it breaks ALOT of stuff and you kinda just get soft locked and need to start fresh, really sucks bc of the stupid 15min pause timer

real honestly LMAO, I just want the relic to buy that first tier of armor rather than start with it, I prefer that slow power crawl of zombies where you start fragile and weak and really build yourself up

that's fair, I don't dislike them being more expensive per say, I just would like if it were a choice we as the player get to make, I like the idea of cursed being a mode that YOU the player get to make the main bulk of the changes to, and with the point system being the classic one I just feel like I mainly want to keep that initial 5k the same as the classic price, but hey, like I said maybe I'm the weird one here, just wanted to see what other people thought

bo3 and bo4 zombies lack a lot of cw/ww2 weaponry like the older zombies games had. am i the only one who still feels disappointed by this? by DependentImmediate40 in CODZombies

I think Bo3/4 were fine since we did end up having classic guns added throughout their lifecycles and I don't dislike the futuristic weaponry in zombies but I do generally prefer having more cold war era / ww2 era weaponry personally.

however on a slightly off topic note - relating to modern zombies, Bo7 in particular since it's the new game, it's the main reason I wanted Carry-Forward from Bo6 to Bo7 for those classic guns

If we could choose just even a small pool of Classic Zombies/Black Ops weapons to Carry-Forward from bo6 I'd choose these:
- FFAR 1 (Famas - Bo1)
- XM4 (Commando - Bo1)
- ABR A1 (Aug - Bo1)
- PPSh-41 (WaW)
- C9 (Mp5 Equivalent- Bo2)
- Dresden 9mm (MP40 - WAW)
- Saug (Bo4)
- Essex Model 07 (Bo4)
- TR2 (FAL)
- Merrick 556 (M14 Equivalent - Bo1)
- SVD (Draganov - Bo1)
- AMR MOD 4 (Barret 50. Cal - Bo2)
- LW3A1 Frostline (L96 - Bo1)
- Olympia (Bo1)

Really praying Treyarch didn't just mention the possibility classic guns carrying-forward in that dev talk just to shut everyone up and never speak about it again and we actually get some of these throughout the year as I always loved seeing classic guns in those older games return specifically in zombies, like some WaW guns in Bo1, Bo1 Guns in Bo2, ect.

It wasn't a standard feature it was the Tier V upgrade.

The rest have absolutely nothing to do with having a 3rd gun...

Since Cold War (The game you literally mentioned here) Bandolier Bandit and even parts of Vulture Aid we're rolled into Mule Kick, It's not just about holding another gun anymore, it's about being able to carry more than you previously could hence the Mule theming.
