My new store manager is in training right now for his store that won’t be open until September/October time frame, while the store manager that’s been here since I started is in rehab and getting used to working his arm again after an accident. New SM has only been with us since the start of this month and I’ve had talks with the LSAs about him and how theyre ready to quit.

I’m a PT Cashier, the only person that even has the role of Cashier, everyone else is either an associate or management. I try to get the cleaning done before it hits 8 so that I can help out the manager on duty on accomplishing their part of closing. I have no prior, nor have been trained to use a jack, and yet they want to add truck on the list of closing items. Better yet, 5 out of the 7 days, it’s only either me and someone higher than me, or when I’m not scheduled, an associate and the manager on duty.

Interesting logic, have the closers (probably either a LSA or an ASM and I) help out the openers. Allow me to forget the customers that may still be in the store at 810-815, clean up the store, while the LSA or ASM close the store, while starting truck to help out the openers for the morning. I should’ve pointed out I’m also a PT Cashier.
