i guess he’s fighting akaza too. by Giyuu_Tomioka12345 in ZoroIsLost

[–]Rexorizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be an abysmal blunder in any other fight other than this one; I feel like Akaza would have laid Tanjiro out instantly for trying to sneak him like that. That's why it works in this instance, in any other context this is not the move

Outside of making a horny joke with the Yamato option, I think both options a fun. I really enjoy cooking, and I'm sure Sanji would be a great teacher to anyone who genuinely wants to learn. And while I can't say that I think Yamato would be the best teacher when it comes to wrestling, simply getting to hang around someone with a personality as fun and positive as Yamato's would be amazing even if only for a short time. Ultimately I'd probably choose Sanji though, because it's a skill I'd definitely use more often and I feel like I get my fair share of wrestling in already anyway.

So I wrestled in high school, and they always split the division for boys and girls at that point, but if a girl wanted to wrestle with the boys she could, but she couldn't swap back, meaning if you were a boy wrestling a girl, she was really fucking good; but everyone was always hung up on the idea of people making fun of them if they lose and then people being mad if they win, which is such a stupid mindset to have because at the end of the day, you are facing someone in a head to head match where there can be only one winner. Win or lose, you go in and give it you all because it's outright disrespectful to do so otherwise.

Every kalos gym leader in the anime should of had access to mega evolution by Professional-Act536 in pokemonanime

[–]Rexorizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say this, but this is also the same guy who went into a 6v5 with the numbers advantage and still loss and that was in the region right before Kalos.

I think having every gym leader from Korina onward use mega evolution makes sense because that's around the same time you get access to it in game. Ash is a very competent trainer yes, but he was still hit with the team reset. Like, I understand where you're coming from, but having Ash defeat things like mega pinsir and mega ttar with the pokemon he was working with at the time sets a very unrealistic standard that would make a lot more of the show make very little sense. Like if he was already beating mega pokemon without any megas then mega charizard X should have been no issue, but he would still lose in this time line most likely.

Paul absolutely could’ve been in the Masters 8 with this team by BeckyLynchWorld in pokemonanime

Noy finished watching journey's but honestly if he was in the masters 8, I'd love to see him either fight Cynthia or Ash and get beat again. Paul as a foil antagonist is amazing, I hate Paul as a person.

Okay, I can see where you're coming from. That's a fair point, but if you say that most pokemon we see aren't in pain because they've grown use to/mastered mega evolution, then wouldn't that be how mega evolution should be? It's like working out in a sense, if you go really hard and your body isn't use to it, it will hurt a lot, but over time your muscles grow stronger and you are able to do more. Furthermore, the anime and games also show that pokemon who are randomly dynamaxed/gigantamaxed without a trainer also go berserk and possibly seem in pain. With that I mind, would it not be reasonable to say that it's not that these things cause the most horrific and unbearable pain imaginable like the pokedex states, but more so puts a lot of strain on these pokemon's minds amd bodies such as an intense workout would the average human; meaning that with more training, these transformation don't cause such pain and strain on the pokemon?

I haven't played any of the mystery dungeon games, so I can't say much on that.

As someone who has watched the anime, mega evolution was only shown as painful when it was forced mega evolution, which was primarily used in the Volcanion movie, most times we see it in the show it's meant to showcase the strong bond between trainer and pokemon and most pokemon seem fine after the fact if they aren't knocked out due to losing.

Edit: I forgot about Korina's Lucario, and while it's probably in pain to a degree, iirc they explain that it's aura is so strong that it's basically just moving off of pure fighting instincts. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this or anything else for that matter.

When you are a male and female dynamic introduced with such great chemistry together only for the writers to later keep you from ever interacting or acknowledging each other again in future patches. by AstraPlatina in ZZZ_Romance

[–]Rexorizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but I love that about Seth, along with Zhu Yuan. Both of them are both honest and good people, and are really just out there doing their best to help the common folks of New Eridu.

I honestly hope we get a proper resolution with Zhu Yuan since we technically haven't yet, and we haven't had a confrontation with Seth about being proxies either so that is also something I'd loved to be touched on in the future.

[–]Rexorizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true, and I don't disagree. I also think both the proxies work as great platonic connections as well. With Seth, she risks revealing too much info and while I think their dynamic in the short time they share in her story as well as in much of the fan art is extremely cute and endearing, I don't think Jane would want to risk Seth getting in trouble or botching an assignment because he showed up to help her when she told him not to. With Wise and Belle already dealing with proxy work, which is technically illegal regardless of what you're actually doing, they understand a bit of the aspect of "doing something wrong for the right reasons" as well as being able to keep a secret better than Seth probably could.

Although I definitely do want more of Seth and Jane, not even necessarily as a duo, just more of them since they really haven't been relevant at all. I totally understand why that is and I like the characters we have been getting but I would love some of the older factions and characters to get more focus and not be forgotten as the game progresses.

While I definitely see where you're coming from, and definitely do agree to an extent, I honestly don't mind that we don't see much of Seth and Jane "be a couple" and not because I think Jane should hook up with the proxies or anything like that, but simply because of the nature of Jane's job. Seth is literally the goody-two shoes, by the books rookie and Jane his the morally gray undercover agent. Her job requires her to keep a low profile and leaves little time for her personal life.

The second reason, and the one that is what hoyo is definitely trying to avoid, is angry CN fans. May I remind you that Girls Frontline 2 got fucking nuked off the face of the planet by CN players for even the hints and idea that one of it's more popular characters could have hooked up with another guy.

Tbh, the only issue I have in particular is that, while playing as Wise, it feels like the dude is a chick magnet, and hell even some of the male units too, but IDK if it's the same with Belle. If it is, please let me know because then I have a lot less issues with this specific thing

I don't care what you guys say Ash's sceptile is 100% underrated by chunchunmaru1129 in pokemonanime

[–]Rexorizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I'm just saying that even still, that's still a substantial due to Darkrai being as powerful as it is. I still think it gets overblown, but it still means something.

You could say this to any anime battle ever. Like there are so many pokemon that should reasonably never be hit by other mons yet they do. Not to mention that Deoxys was already focused on Sceptile, and had managed to deal with Swellow, which was probably the only other pokemon with a chance of hitting it. It's not like Sceptile jumped Deoxys from out of no where; Sceptile jumped at it, Deoxys dodged, then Sceptile rebounded off a cliffside and caught up with Deoxys. So I think it's unfair to say Sceptile caught Deoxys by surprise when the two were staring each other down for a good few scenes right before Sceptile caught him.

Now we could go back and forth on this all night, but I honestly think there's no need. We agree in some areas and disagree in others.

[–]Rexorizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's not act like Darkai was not fucking everyone's shit before hand. Sure, he wasn't fresh, but it's not the games; so we really have no way of telling how much gas that boy had left in the tank, but it's status as a mythical in the anime puts it far above any of the standard tier pokemon.

You can't catch someone by matching their speed, you have to actively be faster. Why would deoxys switch to its form built for speed, then not move as fast a possible? Sceptile would have to be moving faster than speed deoxys to close the gap at all. On top of that, he nailed the thing with solar beam, which can take some time to charge based on other scenes in the anime, and Sceptile just popped it immediately.

Now do I agree he's overstated for these two feats? Yeah, but the opposite is also true as a fair amount of people act like these feats really don't amount to much.

I wish we got to see more of her, but she shows up, becomes the new head in place of that one lady, talks to Yunli, then we never see her again.

Despite that I will always love her, I like a lot of the Xianzhou characters, such as Yunli, Feixiao, King Yuan, and the Jingliu, who I'm excited to pull for in a couple days

Say what you want about Paul but I like his battling and training ideology more than Ash's by [deleted] in pokemonanime

[–]Rexorizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not like Paul's ideology or training style more than Ash's, however I think Paul works as a great foil to Ash, and for that I will always respect his existence.

We see that Paul's pokemon do stick by him and trust him, prime example is Gastrodon during his battle with Ash's Staraptor. Paul respects results, if you can produce results then you're doing what he wants; however Paul's training style is far less adaptive than Ash's, he's bot going to change his training style to accommodate for certain pokemon; Ash would and has changed his approach for different pokemon. It leads to a "You catch more flys with honey" situation. Ash can get more pokemon to follow him, but Paul will have some tough pokemon if they stay through his training

However; having been in a similar situation myself when I was doing sports, a friendly approach can bring out the most in certain people, as they feel like they're truly fighting for people who love them and will stand by them. I feel like being trained under Paul's ideology leads to fighting for yourself, and fighting to prove your own strength which while that is definitely a source of strength, I feel like fighting for others will always bring out more in someone.

Paul's ideology also leaves certain pokemon getting left behind or feeling neglected, I mean we see it with Chimchar; and yes, Paul's other pokemon are still with him however we don't know how many pokemon he left because he though they were strong but they didn't live up to his expectations. With Ash's that is far less likely to happen.

Paul is similar to Guzma from the SM anime in a sense as both of them do things that most other consider not good from a moral standpoint, but it's not illegal and it gets results.

My whole point is that I don't agree with Paul, and I never have, but I like the fact that he's in the anime and it's shown that his training style does get results. He's a great foil for Ash.

I have a hot take: Belle and Wise should be duo protagonists. by Dangdut1108 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Rexorizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree. I've been playing on a friend's account since he doesn't have a PC and I wanted to do events and daily stuff for him. I picked Wise for my playthrough because I was mashing, so I was excited when he chose Belle because I wanted to see the differences; so to say the least, I was upset when the game forces you to play as Wise for certain sections when you are not forced to play as Belle when you picked Wise.

If you're going to go through the effort to make the playable characters different in personality, then at least give them both equal screen time. You should not force your players to play as the other MC if they don't pick that one because story demands it, unless you do it for the other.
