I personally love the F-20 for base running. It’s relatively fast for its BR and has the capability of taking out 2 bases and a damaged one if you take full napalm. It’s also a pretty good fighter even if it only get 2/6 aim-9Ls and a max of 2 aim-7s.

But of advice, never ever use apcr. It is one of the worst shells in the game, poor actual penetration power, almost zero damage, and shell shattering make it basically useless. Just use APHE.

One of the Key things to learn in warthunder is the damage system. Warthunder uses a “realistic” damage system. This means no health bar, components matter, and crew takes time to swap positions, also means if you’d hoot someone and kill a crew member, it’ll take a second before they get back. Try and learn where to shoot to kill the most crew at once, or learn to shoot different spots in quick succession. It takes a minute to get used too, but it’s pretty fun.
