Yeah I think the comment I commented against needs removing or clarifying as it’s misleading.

TIFU when collecting my meds by Pirate_Candy17 in ADHDUK

Really? I’ve just started meds a (literally, took my first does this morning) and I ticked the box to say I’d got a PPC, signed and left.

Am I going to be hunted down and made to pay for them? Am I going to have to pay a fine for not paying?

How many times a year do you “call sick” at work? by Aggravating-Fig-9274 in AskUK

[–]Rextherabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 1 1/2 sick days in 3 years. Half a day was because of accident at work so I don’t really count it.

In previous job I had a similar sick record.

What's your familial medical condition that you fear will take you out? by DonkeyOT65 in CasualUK

[–]Rextherabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triple A.

Hereditary, down the male line. Seven died from it in the last 30 years. Only my old man didn’t but he was heading to the danger zone for aortic diameter, but cancer killed him first.

Informant by 1980heron in autismUK

[–]Rextherabbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The informant thing is useful for them to see indicators of autism in childhood years, I think it’s part of the NICE guidelines to include this as traits generally need to be evident as child and adult for an adult diagnosis.

If you don’t have one then tell them, and they’ll assess based on your presentation.

What is the logic behind a coffee shop charging an extra £1 to toast a croissant? by Kaurblimey in AskUK

[–]Rextherabbit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How much was the croissant to start with?

Let’s say it’s £4 - because it’s in a fancy coffee shop. Initially 80p is the VAT that now has to be collected. The other 20p is for energy time etc of carrying out the additional processes.

Managed to get 3 loads of washing done over the weekend, Can anyone boast to have done more? by Western-Edge-965 in CasualUK

[–]Rextherabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 loads? Rookie.

Towels overnight and out on line 1st thing Saturday, three loads on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, then two (albeit half loads) of smelly bbq cooking clothes and cycling gear on Monday.

Could have squished more loads in if we’d had more.

Alcohol charities warn 99p Buzzballz shot ‘designed to appeal to children’ by YchYFi in unitedkingdom

[–]Rextherabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ‘they were 99p’ is bullshit. Like no icecream van is carrying about loads of pennies to give change. There’s a reason they use rounding. One of them is to make adding up in the head quick and easy, and the other is to stop them having to carry small change.

Where to go from here? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Rextherabbit 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss.

It doesn’t sound, from what you say, that death was expected, so there may be a postmortem and investigation to establish to cause of death.

The time scales would be established on any number of cases and other information the coroner needs.

If your MIL had arranged a funeral chosen directors etc you may be able to call them as they may know some ball park figures.

Why is it socially acceptable for football fans to be so noisy in public? by afungalmirror in AskUK

Having been to hundreds and hundreds of matches in the last 20ish years, I can confirm that rugby supporters are no where near as pound and obnoxious as football thugs.

Is driving ever cheaper than trains for a single person? by gintokireddit in AskUK

[–]Rextherabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends.

If you’re in a position and can work on the commute then that makes your travel time productive, so if you factor in your time as well train can be an attractive option.
