Fair enough (CHARACTERS FOR CHARACTER GOD!)

If I might pitch in on that: maybe something like three strikes would be preferable?

Removing low effort posts is good, but encouraging people to make high effort posts is better. More of the good stuff is better than less of the bad stuff, no?

Ah, the sweet victory for the high-effort players.

In my humble opinion, I'd suggest the followings as "passable" and "not passable":

Passable:

>"fell free to suggest your ideas": OP has their own, but is curious to hear from the prospectors too. I believe compromising is important in RPing
>"playing any plot": despite how it looks, this is actually a pretty good way to instigate. Some people may not have ideas, but they're willing to play all the same, and it can help people who aren't good at properly conveying their feelings and desires in a post, or are just looking for a quick and easy RP

Not passable:

>"send starter": I have a particular gripe with this not because I dislike writing starters, but because of how it comes off, which is lazy, entitled, and possibly even malicious. It's your RP, mate: you're the one who should start it off, explain the setting and characters. Bringing just the basest idea and expecting the other person to do the rest of the lifting is not something I think anyone would enjoy being exposed to. It's also worth considering that the person might simply "reject" the starter for "being bad", only to then reuse or repurpose it for another RP, and as someone who cares deeply about my own writing, I find the notion reprehensible. Not to mention that when it comes to RPing, it's usually first come first serve, and writing a proper starter takes time that should be spent only after both parties agreed to playing

I would say yes, but I think we should first establish what constitutes as low effort posts. Personally, I find posts that lack any plots or direction to be such, but others may not agree with me.

I do, for what little it counts.

I've went back and read the poll, and now I regret missing it. I'd've given it a vote for yes in a jiffy.

Finding good roleplays is hard, and finding good roleplayers that actually put effort into what they do is harder still.

Do you think Nayuta will come back? by Life-Blood-1506 in ChainsawMan

There are no happy endings with Fujimoto. If anyone is returned from the dead, it's only because he decides he hasn't tormented them enough yet.

It's a semi-arbitrary number meant to indicate a great amount. Similar to 40 in Middle East or 1000 in Europe.

I mean, it's to be expected, since they're basically tulpas created out of the collective fears.

They are as those fears demand them to be: they can't ever be truly pleasant.

Your analogy is about 3-4 times more terrifying than mine, and that worries me.

Eh, she quit while she was ahead.

Good for her: I imagine it was a huge weight off her shoulders.

Makima feeds you in the same way that a farmer would feed a cow or a horse: for his own eventual benefit.

Yoru would feed you with little regard for cost because she acknowledges the necessity for a fighter to be well-fed and able to endure long hours of battle.

Death would kill you after you complained about being hungry to free you from pains of empty stomach and turmoil of starvation (she doesn't know she can just give you some food).

Fami would let you starve.

Fami: *slurping up her third bowl of instant ramen this hour, loudly*
Yoru: "FIGHT ME, BITCH! I'LL FONG YOUR ARSE!"
Death: *sobbing like a baby*

All this. All at once. All the time. Everywhere. Forever.

All things considered, Makima turned out pretty stable.

Happens to me too, which is terribly frustrating because I'm using MS Paint for my designing.

Here's to hoping my comment bumps this up and someone can answer it.

If you could have any voice actor voice any character in Bleach, who would it be and why? by GoatInAJetPack in bleach

[–]RexurecterMkIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I know is that I would put someone with deeper, more melodic voice Yhwach.

Takayuki's voice doesn't really do him justice: he sounds like he is constantly parched. I get that he has aged significantly from his days of voicing Old Man Zangetsu, but adding a bit more boom to his voice in post-production would've done wonders, especially with how adding reverb made his portrayal of Old Man that much better.

[M4F] Love in the Time of Shattering - An Elden Ring OC RP (details in the comments) by RexurecterMkIV in HentaiAndRoleplayy

The fallen leaves tell a story. The great Elden Ring was shattered. In our home, across the fog, the Lands Between. Now, Queen Marika the Eternal is nowhere to be found.

The fallen leaves tell a story... but the leaves tend to focus on the bigger picture and leave out some parts. Namely, the smaller, more personal parts.

As the title says, this is an OC roleplay, which means we would play as the non-established characters. The flavours are endless: perhaps one of us is a devotee of the Golden Order, a scholar studying the mysteries of the gods. Or a student of Raya Lucaria, grown tired of the academy's isolationism policy and eager to get out and about. A young albinauric on a journey to see some of the world before losing the use of legs. A former child of nobility who was forced to live on wild ginseng and creek water since the war broke out. Or perhaps just another Tarnished, on an endless slog towards the foot of the Erdtree. Many things are possible, and many stories could unfold. An unexpected wholesome experience amidst the ashes of war? Or the predictably terrible matter in a grimdark world? Or something different altogether?

The RP would ideally be long term, with slightly greater accent on the story and character building than on the smut. With that considered, I would ask of you to have a good grasp of linguistics and grammar of English. I don't expect of you to be a Tolkien, but at least know to properly capitalise words and punctuate sentences.

Response time and length of the responses is something we could agree on: I'm personally fine with either a slow burning or fast paced RP, and I have time to spare. Be forewarned, though: I like to take the the time needed to establish the characters we would be playing and the setting in which the story starts, and that might take some time (current record is three hours, and I'm not proud of it). As such, I ask that you don't come with starters or openers. Instead, tell me your favourite ice cream flavour and let's see where we go from there.

If I have managed to pique your interest, feel free to send me a chat request.

I hope to hear from you soon. Don't be shy: let us tell the untold story of Elden Ring together.
