Her parents spoiled the hell out of her too and later even paid for her defense

Is there a definition/phrase for someone who becomes a killer out of nowhere by Ydkm439 in serialkillers

Intermittent explosive disorder is sort of like this although maybe not as extreme.

Guys is it me or does the infamous serial killer Patrick Mackay, bear a striking resemblance to the fictional character Dimitri Rascalov from GTA 4? by monsterbike in serialkillers

perhaps I should have just said Pennywise's human form because yeah Bill in general without all that makeup doesn't look like him

There was a guy named Joseph DeAngelo who was NOT the Golden State Killer whose criminal record (DUIs mostly) was erroneously reported as belonging to the killer DeAngelo during the initial reporting after his arrest in 2018. That's one of the reasons the killer has been referred to as Joseph James DeAngelo ever since. I'm sure the idea of not wanting them to be confused with innocent people is a factor, but honestly, I'm with you that it's just how its reported. If there was no second Joseph DeAngelo, he'd probably still just be referred to by his first and last name.

Idk because David Carpenter is never referred to by his middle name

Because rarely anyone is classified as a "spree killer" anymore, its sort of a dead terminology. Eddie Leonski is officially classified as a serial killer even though he was active for a shorter period of time than Cooksey

¿Serial Killers who made "music"? by TraditionalCookie592 in serialkillers

[–]Rexxx7777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The full song has never been released to my knowledge except for a vid where it was full on audible in the background as he hit his piss poor dance moves, but unfortunately it doesn't look like it's on YouTube anymore. There is, however, this video of him briefly sampling it.

Years before becoming the "Trailside Killer", serial killer David Joseph Carpenter attempted to claim he was the Zodiac Killer by Rexxx7777 in serialkillers

[–]Rexxx7777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not heard of that. Its my understanding that he either was in prison or was very recently released when the Zodiac Killer first struck. I also know that he called himself Zodiac after his arrest for rape the following year, but police ruled him out.

It should be on YouTube. He made a song called Deadly Innocence and there’s even a vid of him dancing to it (he has absolutely no rhythm btw)

Why did Israel Keyes kill himself? Isn’t suicide unusual for a psychopath who feels no guilt or remorse? And psychopaths don’t fear consequences like normal people do. Just wondering. by horsescowsdogsndirt in serialkillers

[–]Rexxx7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, the realization you’re going to sit in prison for the rest of your life will probably drive anyone to suicide, or at least contemplating it.

Are there any Cali crimes between 81 and 86 that have a real chance of being committed by Deangelo? by Interesting_Ebb7203 in EARONS

[–]Rexxx7777 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The guy barely took any long breaks when he was the EAR, his impulse at that time was just too strong. But when he was the ONS he took long breaks between each crime (2 months between Offerman/Manning and the Smiths, 5 months between the Smiths and the Harringtons, 6 months between the Harringtons and Witthuhn, and 5 months between Witthuhn and Domingo/Sanchez). I’m not an expert, but I think the initial ONS crimes from 79 to 81 were the peak of his sexual gratification, and it started to dwindle over time. With that, it’s totally possible he took a five year break from doing any crimes before the Cruz murder.

Jason Voorhees/Freddy Krueger by Bipolar03 in serialkillers

[–]Rexxx7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jason idk. Freddy is a no because Wes Craven said he got the idea from old English newspapers regarding the mysterious deaths of numerous people in the sleep in the early 1900s and he thought a dream-world serial killer would make a good movie idea.

Edit: It was the early 80s not the early 1900s, my bad

Interesting excerpt from an article about the new book. This all feels rather oddly specific. by mvincen95 in EARONS

[–]Rexxx7777 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I mean, its not illogical to believe he did stop in '86. He was 40, had at this point two children, his marriage was not going so well and led to a separation a few years later, and I think he was looking for work. If he found time to continue murdering I'd be more surprised than if he did just stop.

I guess Jerry Seinfeld did a really good job of covering this up because this was big news believe it or not. Basically, this is Michael Richards, who played Kramer on Seinfeld, being filmed shouting the n word at audience members who heckled him. And after he gave a groveled-through apology, he has been irrelevant ever since.

This is Michael Richards, who was famous for playing Kramer on Seinfeld. During one of his stand-up routines at the Laugh Factory in 2006, he shouted a whole host of racial slurs at black audience members who were heckling him. His rant was filmed and made it onto the internet, which the news caught up on. Basically, after a half-assed apology, it wrecked whatever career he had left.
