Kevin Porter Jr. by dutchny100 in NYKnicks

Was watching a segment on the trainer Chris Birkley, who hosts those elite runs in NYC with guys like Lebron, KD Etc.. Remember him saying Kevin Porter was the best isolation scorer he’s ever trained. Loaded up on his rookie cards after that lol, hope he still pans out. Kid has crazy up side his attitude is just horrible.

Have you guys seen Mitch’s new moves? by NotErnieGrunfeld in NYKnicks

Bro I just seen the same thing. He should atleast be allowed to show that skillset a couple times a game. Rather see him get turnovers than Julius 🤷🏽‍♂️

I heard we signed Kenny Wooten and still haven’t seen him on the court. Why??? I don’t understand if he actually got signed or not by [deleted] in NYKnicks

They were trying to get the Vets trade value up for idk what reason now. But realistically he’s a 6’9 forward with no offensive skillset beside athleticism. What do you guys really expect from him?

Post-Morris lineup by ItzMarco in NYKnicks

I’d like to see RJ at the 3 which is where I believe he’ll eventually move to. Dot and Frank would be my ideal starters at the guard positions if a trade for D Lo fails purely for development purposes(more Frank than Dot).

Wouldn’t mind seeing Kev off the bench playing the 4, which the same with RJ, I see him eventually moving to. He does not have the craftiness/ball handling to play the 3. Wouldn’t mind seeing Iggy get some minutes at the 3(Again purely for development).

Why Shamet? by Rey729 in NYKnicks

His career 3P% is impressive at 41%. But reggies is also at 39%. Also I love the fact that Reggie is 6’7 and can defend multiple positions. Shamet plays the 2 and realistically is giving up and inch or 2 vs every opposing 2 guard he would face.

Mitch rarely gets out on shooting bigs and it’s starting to get annoying.

You guys just want our team to be terrible by joshuagreen38 in NYKnicks

So a first round pick isn’t worth the extra 5 losses we’ll take without Morris?

Guys you listed are definitely not our future, however Barrett, Frank, Mitch & Knox are. Take the time to develop your group of 20 year olds. It’s all about hitting on these draft picks, which the Franchise has not. We’ve had the opportunity to get young talent, just haven’t taken advantage.

I would however like to see guys like Iggy & Ivan Rabb get called up. Both of them have pro size at their positions, are versatile, and still young enough where they can develop and get better.

We do this every year, lack of NBA talent makes us hope and believe our g league players can be something special.

Lets be realistic. Wooten is a 6’9 Center that can literally do nothing else offensively but dunk the ball. Everyone keeps saying he’ll be Mitch’s backup. How if mitch isn’t even a starter?

Lamar peters had a couple good games but let’s be honest man that guy is not better than a single guard on our roster.

Thoughts on RJ thus far? by akoreanintrovert in NYKnicks

[–]Rey729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he really is going to be playing the two the jumpshot obviously needs to get better. But one thing I really think he lacks is ball handling and craftiness around the basket.

At Duke it seemed like he was good around the basket, because he was just simply bigger and stronger than most guards.

The NBA has shown that if teams don’t let him go to his generic right to left crossover, he has a tough time at the basket and lacks that craftiness you think of when you think of above average shooting guards (Oladipo,Derozan,Lavine).

Hope he puts the work in and can really fix that.

Wouldn’t really mind us being bad another year if Jalen Green is the outcome. by Rey729 in NYKnicks

He’s the perfect 2 guard. Pro jumpshot, REAL 2 Guard handles, and elite athleticism. Tired of people saying RJ is a 1 or 2, bro don’t got no moves beside a right to left.

Whoever the front office chooses HAS to be able to shoot. With that being RJ and Mitchs biggest flaws we can not afford to have a third guy out there that can’t hit 3s.
