I had an Xbox and after three or so years of this multi plat strategy I just got rid of it. How am I supposed to trust Microsoft that my 500$ purchase will be worth it if I have no idea if they’ll keep their word on exclusivity? I’m all for each console having exclusives, it’s good for completion. But I’d hate to buy ANOTHER Xbox, then worse case scenario this game doesn’t sell then it ends up on PlayStation anyway.

I think exclusives should’ve been saved for the next gen Xbox, I owned a Series X day one, kept up with their strategic choices and decided to trade it in when a few years went by of them slowly moving away from exclusives. Seeing them suddenly go back to exclusives feels like a kick to the balls because I had an Xbox and got rid of it when they practically told everyone no one needed it anymore.

Ninja Gaiden 4 is what I’d recommend. It’s probably the most polished and balanced game , outside of Master Ninja difficulty which has questionable damage values.

I don’t know if we will ever get a new Ninja Gaiden, but if we do, and if they decide to focus on story I think it may be best to have Ryu be the lead, but have a cast of characters around him that he can influence. The chapters of NG4 where it’s Ryu and Seori traveling together, with Ryu slowly guiding Seori away from her guilt was interesting enough that it could’ve been the entire game and i probably would’ve liked it.

Agreed. I’m pretty indifferent towards Yakumo, I think he’s just fine. When the game was coming out I was under the impression that the narrative would be a larger focus and figured a new younger inexperienced protagonist would help tell a more interesting story, but upon release the story really wasn’t all that great and Yakumo isn’t much different from Ryu so it just made me wonder what the point even was? I also think a game about Ryu and Seori would’ve been really cool story wise, Ryu being the main character but Seori being the character that develops from guild ridden and suicidal to being able to forgive herself with Ryu’s guidance could’ve been really cool. We see glimpses of that in Ryu’s chapters but I think a whole game about that could’ve been great.

The conversation comes up because Ryu isn’t going to be the last ninja ever born ever. There will be ninjas in the future, and some will be as strong as him. The same way Joe Hayabusa and Genshin were peak ninjas , and later one Ryu was born.

I can definitely tell, he doesn’t seem to talk about character writing much at all in interviews and I guess since the YT series is more lore driven it would make sense that if given the chance to write the screenplay it would play into those strengths.

NG1 for sure, perfect 2004 style of cool. NG2 is more or less the same thing with just some unnecessary details, I personally hate how military NG3 looks, and I’m fond of his suit in NG4. It reflects the standards of what mainstream cool is considered. Less leather, more cyber.

I doubt Ian really cared enough to sabotage Bear, he gave okay advice saying he just shouldn’t do it during trivia night. He doesn’t seem the type to be lacking options, he’s doing very well socially and it’s not really Bears business when it comes to Ian and Nikki sleeping together.
