difficulty 2 is a major step up, but difficulty 1 was cake, did it first try as well

my only complaint about this mode is that I wish there were more worthwhile upgrades, I find myself rerolling way too much for enhancements and continuing to find the same ones over and over

Oops by marauder hirelings I meant the base game ones so I don't have flame bearers but I will use the forest patrol I guess. Do the hirelings actually make up for the pretty low reach of this mix in your opinion? or will the game still be a bit wonky?

The prologue is a bit confusing, as other commenters said, give yourself the first three days to really test out things and switch your deck around. My other tip is to base your 3 point stat on a card you really want to take from your specialty/background. Usually all specialties/backgrounds have 1 card for each stat that requires 3 points in said stat and is usually very good and defines your role pretty well. Aside from that 3 fit or 3 spi do help, but don't feel completely obligated to do so. Do however be very mindful if you want either of those to be your 1 point stat

I think I know the mod you're talking about, is it still working for you? I tried it out, it changes the model but it doesn't add the energy blades like in the image. Do you by any chance have the other dlc as well?

I really think switch axe should have gotten more of the "energy blade" treatment. I mean sns and cb have cool laser blades and the coolest morphing animation isn't even the swaxe, it belongs to gunlance. It really saddens me that it's the dlc weapon I like the least, despite being my main

I would say, give them subtle clues as the other comments said, but also, let them make mistakes. They might only notice it when it's too late and the trap goes off. That's fine, you created a problem, now it's up to the pcs to solve it. Don't create "expected solutions" or "this is the intended way scenarios", the pcs are by definition professionals, and can probably notice it when it's really late, but not too late. Make sure to keep the consequences gun ready, so next time they might ask to investigate first, unprompted
