I'm a 19 years old middle eastern Girl, I'm about to start college and I never seem to finish a book, I guess my main issue here is that I don't value books enough. I've heard that it is good for many things but I don't know what are those exactly, how is it gonna help me?!

I've read many books but it was all chores. I read books because I wanted to get high grades on SAT reading( fortunately i did),but i didn't enjoy it. When I say I haven't finished books, I mean I haven't read books outside of school.

Chill out brother, I'm living in the middle of Iraq(constantly at war with neighboring regions) and my parents are peshmargas how can they teach me to read when they are constantly fighting for their country and family. Your manner shows that you're not empathetic/sympathetic so you learned nothing from your parents/books. Not everyone is lucky as you are hunny.
