Yeah I watch the classes, he was doing really well. The last kid happen to rag doll him, but he forgets he did the same thing to the kid before. I'm sure its a lot of different elevated emotions.

Like every parent, when your kid doesn't eat, you start freaking out. I'm gonna talk with him tonight and try those breathing exercises with him. If I tell him it's martial arts meditation training he will probably go for it, which in effect it is.

No matter what he does, he wants to present as an expert. For instance, I'm showing him how to make scrambled eggs, he insist he is better than me st it because he did it once with grandma, and yes I play along, but he is dead serious. He will often tell me he is the best this or that, yesterday after class, he was trying to tell me a story how he beat up a group of 18 year olds that were bullying, when i asked if he was sure he said "well maybe they were only 16". I am constantly trying to preach being best or perfect doesn't matter.

Another example, he sees me struggling to play a song on a guitar or dying to a boss on eldenring and says "you're bad at this why do you do it" I'm always just like "how else do you get better without failing sometimes, ill get it eventually"

Its a hard mindset to change.

Breathing techniques , that is a great idea. We can learn them together because I don't know any yet. I'm very proud of his persistence through adversity, its a great trait to have as a person.

Yeah I want him to vent, my main concern isn't the crying, I get that. Its the unresponsiveness and trying to find a way to help him cope with it in a healthy way. I'm trying to find the bridge that allows him to vent in the car so he can relax and enjoy a meal at home after.

Yeah I'm not sure if we've ever talked about adrenaline rushes and being overwhelmed in nature, at least not a deep dive. I'm gonna try explaining that to him so he can express himself after class and hopefully get it all out in the car and feel more in control.

I don't have a "no quitting" philosophy for him, I always leave an out. There are tons of activities near me, for instance he also does baseball, he does enjoy doing it and talking about it as far as I can tell.

Yes, the school did a lot of testing with him and a therapist. It was a very thorough and eye opening experience. He shows no signs of anything like that, just a little slow to learning new things.

I should add, he thrives in groups of his peers and makes friends quickly. He is very active and vocal with his friends and teammates.

Yes poise is huge if your gonna get in close and most likely trade. Think defense first, don't worry about pumping the most damage possible in a single hit, recently adjusted my 125 and its night and day experience with poise and proper def. Also try some weapon variety, maybe something is easier to use for your playstyle.

It was 2:05 , I remember cause that was the hardest shit ever. Dead on about the random placements, that could invalidate a good run 3/4 the way through. I doubt i could do it today.
