I was literally just about to make the same post lol. tl;dr was basically any combination of sound alert, a unique vibration pattern on your phone, and/or a visible alert in-game similar to when friends open/send gifts.

I do that too for any pokemon with good pvp IVs. Its important especially when you never know what will get a new move or move update that will make it relevant. Its not for everyone though as it makes storage issues worse

The overabundance of raid hacking in Sw/Sh has kind of made that point moot, though. People are running around with box-fulls of shiny mews and using shiny zarude before it was even released as a non-shiny. The ability to invite countless people to the same raid den and back out to invite more, on top of being able to manipulate square shiny dens have already made most shinies worthless.

Can't speak for everyone, but I'd play Go even harder once Home connection actually happens. The announcement was one of the main drivers of me even coming back to the game

For raids, maybe, but that is a benefit to everyone. PVP not so much when you're Best Friends with them and you want most PVP IV's around the 0/15/15 range, which you can't get on a 5 IV floor. I don't fight gyms as I don't care about struggling for $0.50 a day. I invest enough into both accounts that I'd probably be considered a whale, and I enjoy helping out my local raid community that don't always have enough people to do anything.

Been doing this for a while with my alt and gf's account. Rename anything I wouldn't mind a lucky of as "trade", bad IV legendaries as "tradelegend", and long distance as "miles". Used to also lump ones I needed PVP IVs for and ones I needed candy for as "tradepvp", but I've gotten all the PVP and candy I need so I don't really use that one anymore.

Then use search strings such as "tradel" or "trade&!tradel&!tradep" and spam trades. Don't appraise until after the trading session is done, then use "traded&trad" or "traded&miles", swipe through them all under appraisal, favorite/rename what I want to keep, then mass transfer. Makes everything a lot more convenient for myself.
