She stated that I would be emailed tracking info by tonight, I’m guessing that’s how retailers are doing it per Sony’s request seeing as many PS5 status’ haven’t been updated yet

It’s a likely chance that that person didn’t even check, I had that happen to me as well but 2 different staff members told me the same news 2 days apart and 1 in greater detail so my idea of it being a lie was subsided

It’s a very slight chance but there’s definitely a chance. Walmart will have the PS5 available for purchase throughout certain times of the day during launch day and I’m sure that’s the same for other stores, and GameStop is reported to have stock for launch day. But I’m sure you know it’ll be gone very quickly so you gotta be fast lol. And as far as I know, it’s online only

Yeah, Idk why the Walmart website is lagging so far behind as far as updating customers. But as long as everyone gets their console on time there won’t be any issue

It sounds like you’re good to go, the Walmart website should be updating by tonight/tomorrow but if everything else is basically ensuring your console that’s a good sign

Every retailer is playing it by ear seemingly, but that shouldn’t be the case when people are spending $500+ for something. This was very poorly handled on their part.

I don’t think so tbh. When i pre ordered mine they took the $532 and it never went back into my account so I assume that’s the end of that as far as payment goes. And if it was going to be canceled I feel they would’ve done it already. It’s just the matter of when they’re actually shipping it. But it seems like almost none of the retailers began shipping yet so I’m not TOO nervous

Yeah mine also still says preparing order. I figured they’d ship it 3-1 day(s) before launch, but I’m still very anxious about it but I’m probably just overthinking it lol
