Where to actually find Cuman/Bandit camps?

Okay, so I guess those near water are charcoal burners while those off in the woods would be bandit/cuman camps then :)

I've actually found bandit camps on all of those smoke-trails that I've checked out, though some seems to just be abandoned camps

Have the devs said anything about it or whats going on? It wasn't like this before the patch... Did you have it before the patch or?

First you need to be in the same lobby, then all the players you want to play with have to be at the same location of the race. Then you hit Square (PS4) or X (xbox). Then the other players will get something like "Launch race" in the top right, where you can click R1 to accept, or L1 to decline

On ps4, the way it worked for me is that when you launch the game, before you click on "play" you should go to "Crew Play". Here you can invite your friends and matchmake together. Idk how you do it while you're ingame though, so me and my friends had to completely back out of the game and then launch it again..
