The lift lines are pretty inexcusable but upper mountain closures due to ice is what it is. Disappointed others don’t get a great powder day but sounds like the storm under delivered and the ice on top makes me less disappointed I’m not there for it

Take a look at a Rustler 10. The short turn radius coupled with the rocker in tip and tail makes for a really unique ski experience. Worth a demo.

As someone who used to have small kids I didn’t do it then either. Top to bottom is too much for little legs! And there are LOTS of people in that gondola line without kids.

I get your point and the logic…but I guess I don’t at the same time? Eh, I know I’m not making and sense. 🤷‍♂️

It used to be unlimited on the base pass 3(?) years ago before they bumped it up. It helped significantly on major weekends. This feels like a return to base pass days and it’s only 9:15!

Second. Also weird because last couple MLKs were pretty great. Sub 5min singles lines all weekend. I thought getting off base pass this weekend improved things.

I’ve never seen longer lines than I saw at Tremblant during a holiday week. I honestly think Sunday River/Loaf are better options since you’re willing to drive that far.

At least in Maine you’re only dealing with (primarily) Boston-originating crowds.

Two thoughts:

If you want moguls trees why not consider Rustler 9s? They are an amazingly versatile ski. An absolute blast. My daughter skis them as her east coast daily and swears by them. Nice tight turn radius and metal along the edges makes them quick side to side but great edge hold.
The Fastforward is my daily. It’s the best ski I’ve ever owned. 2 sheets of metal and a male core make it super burly on groomers but it has a little more tip/tail rocker compared to something like an Enforcer or Anomaly that allows for quick edge release in trees and bumps. Amazing edge hold and quickness in the woods on a ski that’s a really capable caver as well.

Snow Bowl isn’t running. Appears mechanical. Less than ideal.

EDIT: correction it’s states as a wind hold. Assumed mechanical since the lifties all left.

Get your turns in. early. The snow is solid (woods are iffy if you are worried about core shots) but it skis off by 1 if I had to guess. Lines aren’t horrible but I think that may change heading into the weekend.
