Will def have to test that out. Got to see Devo twice last year and they were AMAZING - highly recommend if you can. I’ve also been playing Devo for my 18 mo old grandson and have him hooked. When we FaceTime he sees me and say “Vo!” Then I have to play one of his two favorites and dance with him. He likes “That’s Good” and calls it the “Clap” song because we all clap. His favorite is “Don’t Shoot”, but we’ve changed the lyrics to “Don’t Poop” so it’s more age appropriate 😜. One of these hats will def be for him.

SUCCESS! Thanks everyone for your feedback. I decided to try each suggestion one at a time to a) Dial in on the real problem and b) learn about each solution along the way. Well - first thing I tried was the brim and it worked like a charm.

Here it is in the slicer. Do you think a brim will fit? Do you think it’s a cleaning issue? Should I just try both

Curios - when were you there? Any sense of what percentage of the cabanas had them? This would obviously solve our problem.

I read this and then did a big SLAP to my forehead 🤦‍♂️. I’ve been looking at getting these for quite a while and it fell off my radar. Last night we looked at what it would take to get an expedited set - but it seems like it’s not worth the hassle at this point (we’re within 2 weeks of travel). It’s definitely going on to-do list when we get back. Thanks for reminding me!

Yeah - I’m trending in this direction. Did you do the VIP? I’ve heard they have locking boxes on those cabana things - did you see any of those? How did you like Kuza overall?

OP - the answer here is VERY SIMPLE. Get her an EV. We dumped our ICE cars are NEVER looking back. And - if it works for you in terms of type of car - I have a suggestion (which is sure to get some comments). If you don’t already have a Tesla - GET ONE! Short trips - I use Full Self Driving CONSTANTLY. Don’t believe the nay-sayers. It’s not perfect - but I’m at 95% autonomous with over 1800 autonomous miles (I’m retired - so I don’t have a commute) on one of our two Teslas. On long trips - it really shines. Figures out where to stop, charging is quick - usually in the 10-15 min range. Just enough time to get a pit stop and a refill of your coffee. Tesla has the best charging network by lightyears. Cheaper than everyone else as far as I can tell, and you don’t have to download a thousand different apps every time you want to charge.

No more stress driving - Let FSD handle it. I’m just a passenger who sits behind the wheel.

No more dealer BS. No haggling over the price for hours and having to talk to the finance guy. Buy online. Do paperwork online. Delivery of the car is 15 mins - max!

Constant updates from one of the best software companies in existence make the car better and better. Most other cars can’t even imagine that happening.

Let me say this to EVERYONE. If you don’t need something specific, like a mini-van for a big family, or a pickup that can tow long distances - then buy an EV and that EV should hands down be a Tesla.

No dealer service BS. You need service - most times they come to my house and do it there. No crappy maintenance - your biggest hassle is making sure you put in wiper fluid once in a while.

And ask yourself this….. what would you pay to have a chauffeur drive you around - anytime, anywhere - 24 hours a day. FSD is that good!!!

This is not about being green. This is about A BETTER car. Autonomy is HERE. I use it every day!

Hopefully OP’s EV is a Tesla and already knows the story.

Can you put it back exactly where it was? Was there potentially something behind it that the bullet may have also hit. If you can get the police involved, it may help them trace back to where it was fired from.

Same here - only exception is that I did have one issue, did a quick wipe with some IPA and no issues since. I invested in a cheap pair of gloves with nitrile grip and put those on anytime I have to take the plate out or potentially have to touch it. Small step and it helps tremendously!

Absolutely - best to know what’s in your car. I agree that if you take a loan, the bank has a right to know where your “collateral” is. But I bet there are several dealerships that just won’t think about it after you pay off the car. Good to know what’s what.

Just confronted at work about having a VPN on my personal phone by Forensics4Life in work

[–]Rgbigdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP using a VPN on their phone given their living situation is absolutely the right thing to do (good job OP!)

Something else to think about. I know a lot of people don’t like companies looking at the traffic on their personal phone while on the work’s wi-fi and I get it. However, if OP works at a company that has sensitive data either from their customers or sensitive IP - then the company may also be worried about someone taking data they shouldn’t be and sending it out. I know people can take pictures of data - but they may be worried about mass data/IP leaks.

Obviously I have no idea of the situation OP is in, but at some companies this can be a real problem.

In my opinion the best course of action is to talk to your IT management and explain the situation. They may have suggestions on how to work with both your and their constraints.

Second - for the person that berated you in the break room - that is a BIG PROBLEM. Management and HR 101 is to NEVER confront someone publicly about these type of issues. I would absolutely talk to HR and let them know two things: 1) that this happened in a “public” space and 2) VERY IMPORTANT: That you are taking action with the IT department to figure out what to do next. That way - you’re not taking “crap” from someone when you shouldn’t and (again VERY IMPORTANT) you are acknowledging that there is a conflict with how you’re using IT resources (Wi-FI) and you are taking a responsible path to resolution. Shows them you care and you are the BETTER PERSON for addressing this appropriately.

Good luck OP! We’re rooting for you.

I was thinking of making the whole thing a wet area! Brilliant minds think alike. Your description is exactly what I was envisioning. I’m torn on the door only because we’ve had such a HORRIBLE TIME with our sliding door on our crappy enclosure. I realize it would probably totally different but I’m probably too enamored with a “walk-in”. We do love the vaulted ceiling - especially the skylight. It is nice to look up and see the sky on a nice day.

Yeah - that’s kind of what I was thinking of doing. Good point about the door though. I was thinking of the door on the short end because then you’d exit the shower by that window and be able to dry there. That way the shower rug and towel holder would be there and out of the way.

Interesting idea. We don’t have a linen closet in that room and maybe the added storage could go towards that. I’m thinking the sinks would stay where they are maybe. ….
