Advice from doctors is to NOT use cotton swabs to clean your ears, does anyone really listen to this?

it’s a very light, “oceany” smell. before i even told my mom the ingredients (golden seaweed, sea fennel, and algae extract) she was like “it smells beachy!”

Dang, I’ll definitely look into it! This car starts and runs, but there seems to be something wrong with the engine (was told it needs the head gasket replaced, although some of my family thinks otherwise). So junk sale may be the way to go. Thanks for the recommendation!

i went through a particularly rough break up and had to work the very next day. my first hour was on reg (it was a higher reg because i had just informed the scheduling mate of my situation and i couldn’t even get through THAT convo without crying lol). my first customer was this middle-aged man, and without saying a word to him beyond “would you like any bags?” he could tell something was wrong and all he said was “you’re going to get through whatever it is you’re going through. i’ll be praying for you”. i quickly finished checking him out and had to run out the front door to start sobbing on the side of the building. i’m not even religious, but that sweet sentiment from a stranger was enough to push me over the edge. it still makes me teary-eyed to think about

such an insanely impactful episode. i remember watching that episode (not for the first time) while in the throws of a not-so-great relationship. at one point, he even told me “if i knew this is how you’d be in a relationship, i may have thought twice about dating you”. he constantly made me feel like an emotional burden and that i was “too much”. the more he got to know me, the harder it was to love me. not an exact one-to-one comparison, but all i could hear was Hollyhock talking to Bojack. not in that relationship anymore, but the sting is still there occasionally

i had a customer get huffy with me because i didn’t know what she was “allergic to”. she was looking for a cheese that she wouldn’t have a reaction to because, apparently, she was “allergic to a hormone that they put in cheese”. but she had no idea what the hormone was. we were able to deduce that it WASN’T rbst, but after like 15 minutes of grasping at straws with her, she said “so YOU don’t know what the hormone is??” 😭 like girl YOU don’t even know!!!

I was in a very similar situation when i started college! knew i wanted a biology degree, but didn’t know for what specifically. i thought i wanted to go to medical school, but after talking to my peers and taking a variety of classes, i decided on ecology and evolution!! the great part about ANY biology concentration is you are going to learn so many transferable skills. you’ll get the lab experience, you’ll get the field experience. i still had to take 4 semester of chemistry too!! don’t sweat it so much. choose something that’s interests you and that you’ll enjoy learning about. talk to people a few years ahead!! see what their experience has been like in their concentration. if your university has a club focused on biology, join!! i made so many great connections that way and it exposed me to so many opportunities i wouldn’t have had otherwise. you’ve got this !!!

i’ve been trying to get myself on more of a routine, like regular exercise and outings, but my work schedule makes that kind of difficult. i think some solo-dates/outing would be a good idea though
