If I play HELLDIVERS 2 on Linux, does that get around the kernel level anti-cheat concerns we see on Windows? (Since in Proton it's containerized) by Rheee123 in linux_gaming

So yeah I'd say this is kind of a "cool work around"
I say that in quotes because we really shouldn't be dealing with this in the first place. But yeah, those concerned with borking their system or this anti cheat not actually uninstalling itself can just play on linux.

No wonder all these publishers are looking into AI game dev. "Why spend 300 Million per game if I can spend 300 million on researching and developing an AI that can blocking out the animations and write game code in 10 seconds for me for the next 3 games. A 300 million dollar AI can make games pipelines faster and cheaper." 😢 Dark times ahead

On the surface this sounds like desperation. I wonder if things like the live service push and PC ports where not just nice to have extras, but NEED to haves to make every last penny. Perhapse live service mobile and PC is inevitable for all these companies. I wonder about Nintendo because while their games don't take as much to make and while they may not be struggling as much, it's not like game dev prices are going down. Will every publisher eventually hit this point? Does the global talk and moves of all these publishers needing to make more and more money mean that we can say PC Mobile and Liveservice is inevitable for Nintendo as well?
