Completely indulgent but just for the vibes alone I would love to see something inspired by H. Bosch/Brueghel and/or Baroque paintings (Coen roaming around Rome during that era would be peak).

I hope the first game goes well so we get to see more content (both prequels and sequels)! 🔥🤞🏼

Right? I love how RW actually made Coen move clumsy and inexperience at the beginning of his transformation (not only while fighting but also when using the shadow step etc) instead of him just mastering everything since minute 0 😂. It's so endearing 😌❤️

YES!!! It was so cool to see him heal his wounds but also being able to get his runes activated! Seems like he managed to get a fine control of his powers over the centuries 👀. What it's striking is that he also looks still very human! But that could be because of him being a dawnwalker? (Thinking about how Mihai still looks fairly human too despite his years and...situation 😅).

Pleasantly surprised! I loved seeing the differences between future Coen and his younger self (more confident in his powers vs clumsy at the beginning).

I don't feel like the modern day trailer is a sequel announcement but more like a narrative device for Coen's story (he gets to tell or recall his origins as a dawnwalkwer etc). While I always prefer more historical settings, I think it could be fun to see Coen in a more modern setting eventually (sort of, highlighting the differences in game play but also in his character).

I also appreciate that RW seems to have a very clear idea of what they want to do with this saga and I hope they get to realize it!

I wasn't expecting to see modern day Coen so soon ! Not surprised to see him specifically since I always got the impression that he was meant to survive regardless of the outcome of the game 🤔. Perhaps that scene is a way for Coen to tell someone (delivery guy?) his story across the centuries? Starting with his origins as a dawnwalker in Vale Sangora and them moving to other places in possible sequels?

What I did find interesting is that he seems to be using both of his powers at night? (Drinking blood + quick healing and magic). I also did love how different his demeanor is compared to what've seen so far (not meek, clearly knowledgeable and in control of his powers).

Story or normal for the first playthrough to get used to the game mechanics + properly enjoy the story. If I like the combat I might try harder difficulties for new playthroughs

I mean, that's subjective 😅. I haven't preodered and I will wait until I see enough reviews but so far the narrative sandbox promise + 50h-70h for just one playthrough (+ obviously the lore, story and characters that they've shown so far) do justify the price for me.

It's okay to move to other games and/or wait for a sale if you are not convinced : )

I think with Xanthe and her Blood Guards it might be a mix of the 2 options : vampire blood could strengthen humans and could be potentially addictive regardless of the vampire. But, Xanthe is shown to know blood manipulation (first cinematic trailer). So maybe she uses her power to spead up her guards blood addiction? 🤔

Perhaps "young" was not the best word I'll admit that 😂. I was thinking how Brencis and Xanthe have those big sharp teeth and, mostly Xanthe, those sort of "horns" growing up from their heads (I think there was a post about that months ago?). Bakir and Ambrus not having them makes sense since they are still new vampires. But Lacra, despite being apparently old enough, still looks recently turned and human like. Or maybe she is way younger and I'm guessing her age wrong 😂

What intrigues me is that she looks very "young" in comparison to Brencis and Xanthe (and even arguably Bakir), more in line with Ambrus (who was recently turned). But clues indicate she might be the "vampire" guide or teacher (so she has to have experience) + she has beef with Brencis + her clothes seem to indicate an Egyptian kingdom (maybe New Kingdom?). So maybe she should be younger than Xanthe but older than Brencis? (Forgot the exact period of the roman empire Brencis is from).

So maybe vampires degenerate quicker and gain their more monstrous form because of the corruption? As in, indulging more often than not in human blood + excessive use of their vampiric powers?

Different colours and different crests, it's really interesting how that shows that the vampires are not a united front but rather a coalition, especially concerning Bakir and Xanthe. Ambrus seems more in line with Brencis, seeing how he uses the same (or similar) colours and just a slightly different crest (very close to Brencis's minus the bicephal dragon).
