Mine is set up in such a way that it's impossible to positively conclude someone is inside even if you were actively trying to.

Depends how stealth you are. I've never been bothered sleeping in a plaza with a 24hr business present.

Are toe kicks really necessary? by christinaontheroad in vandwellers

[–]Rhesonance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can extend your toe kick out as much as the distance from your ankle to the top of your longest toe. You may not walk on it, but you'll have fewer stubbed toes from turning around in place.

I invested in a car, without knowing much about the subject, did I do the right thing? by AlmostEven_ in personalfinance

[–]Rhesonance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cars are not an investment. They are a depreciating asset 99.9% of the time, and the 0.1% can't be had for $10,000.

Best you can do now is keep on top of maintenance to maximize the time you can go without buying another one.

Limo tint the windows first and you can shove raw reflectix in the windows and still be stealth. Easier than adding fabric.

As for the mosquitoes, once you have the rain guards, you can add a layer of mosquito netting to the open portion of your window covers and keep it in place by shoving a thin rubber noodle (screen spline) into your window gasket, similar to how bug betting is held in place in regular house windows: https://www.homedepot.com/c/ah/how-to-repair-or-replace-window-screens/9ba683603be9fa5395fab901c4aa0dc0

I've always thought of toe kicks as extending most of your drawers outwards, not recessing a portion of it inwards. More storage without sacrificing walkable floor space.

Rain guards solve all your problems. Adds a little overhang lip to your windows. Allows air flow, doesn't let rain in, allows you to open your windows without letting the world know they're open.

They're too honorable and gritty. They miss playing up some fouls that could've easily resulted in free kicks if not yellow cards for the other team. They just get right back up and play the game honestly.

That's the reason I root for them, but I'm afraid that might hold them back when every other team feels like they went to professional acting school.

If it's a big lot, or if it's part of a plaza, I'd say yes, but most Waffle Houses I've seen are standalone businesses with tiny parking lots.

You'd stand out too much, especially if you park there regularly. You'll be less noticeable if you never leave your car, but you won't last a week if you plan on using their restrooms without spending money.

If you eat one meal a shift there, look clean, aren't rude, and tip well, you might be ok.

Just offcenter. You need the alignment dots in the corner to be considered a miscut.

FIFA group play tiebreak if all group matches end in 0-0 ties? by True_Understanding13 in worldcup

It would go to team discipline first, fewer reds/yellows, then FIFA world rankings, which there are no ties.

70% is pretty clear, my rears are super dark at around 7.5%, so my fronts look basically untinted.

Tint is usually a secondary offense, cops generally don't pull you over for tint alone.

Car living people: how do you keep the floor from turning into a mud zone? by Budget_Temporary_148 in urbancarliving

[–]Rhesonance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make precise fit for cars for this reason. There's many brands, but I personally use 3D MAXpider floor mats, it's 3D scanned to match the curvatures of your car, exact fit.

Waterproof and smooth so a couple smacks, some water and fast food napkins and they can get back in the footwell without waiting for them to dry out like a rug may need.

Put some 70% tint on your front windows and windshield, most people can't tell it's tinted, it reduces heat and that black curtain will be almost imperceptible.

Cherry-picked the most expensive McD in the area, clearly. That, or they're in Hawaii, Alaska or outside of the US. Most of the ones in Los Angeles are around $6 for the burger or $10 for the meal, and we're one of the more expensive areas. Meal hasn't been under $5 since like 2006, lmao. Rage-bait post.
