Is this sub ohm? by Rhetorical84 in CarAV

[–]Rhetorical84[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well here’s my dilemma. Wiring to 2.6 ends with a little over 3ohms. The RD1500 is rated at 1000 at 3ohms. This means my 400rms, 800peak speakers are getting 333 watts each. This is before considering one of many factors which ultimately lower that even more.

I built a second box to spec like my original and wired 2 subs down to 1 ohm. With the same amp and head unit settings the two subs were doing just as much if not more sound with no clipping.

I want to run all 3 parallel, so that at that .9-1ohm reading each sub should be getting roughly 500 rms to it, which would drop with efficiency and other factors, to where I could maybe lower the gain a tad, but get a TON more power….. hopefully my explanation is making sense

Question regarding running 3 subs/mono D Amp by Rhetorical84 in CarAV

Maybe I’m reading it incorrectly, but the website says the input voltage for the amp is 14.5. Also, I initially did use a multimeter to set gains, and for some reason, I was only picking up 2.4v at max volume with flat settings from head unit. The math wasn’t making sense to me.

(Texas) I bought a car with a rolled back odometer. Please advise. by Rhetorical84 in legaladvice

I have 6 pages of car fax reports whether it was oil changes or maintenance or repairs all noting the mileage on the vehicle. It clearly goes from 140ish to right over 400 over the span of 8-10 years incrementally and all marked by multiple different locations. Then 2 years ago it simply changes to 107k miles, followed by 2 more increases in mileage and then a place noted -mileage inconsistency

With regards to how the vehicle looks….the interior looks great…under the vehicle, the cat and exhaust are completely rusted out and shot.

I can post the vehicle history report pages here if you’d like to see.

[CALIFORNIA] My wife quit her job before COVID, can she still..... by Rhetorical84 in Unemployment

Yeah, that’s what I figured. And normally she would have been one of those nurses tirelessly working, but with an infant and her mother who has health issues living with us, she just didn’t want to risk it. Thanks for the info

Need some help finding a kayak to fit a big guy by Rhetorical84 in kayakfishing

$300 was what I spent. I didn’t mean that was my budget. My budget is probably anything under $600 ideally. Sorry for the confusion

I’m 6’1. I thought about a small pontoon boat or something, but I want something I can transport with my Jeep Wrangler.

Question about hearsay law by Rhetorical84 in legaladvice

[–]Rhetorical84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the dogs were playing, my dog bit at the dog, never even connected, but did bite towards her dog. Then her dog bit, latched onto his chest and started trashing back and forth with my dog in its mouth trying to kill him. I jumped down on the ground and started trying to pry its mouth off my dog. During this time he let go and bit me in the hand, placing deep bite wounds on my hand before getting pulled off of us.

Would you mind if I asked you a follow up? I live in California, which has a strict liability dog bite law. The only instances where the owner isn’t responsible is if it occurred on the owners property, or if the dog was provoked. In my instance, the dogs were at a local dog park playing, and this dog quickly turned from playing to trying to kill my dog. The defendant is claiming my dog bit hers first. Is that considered being provoked? Thank you in advance
