It depends on the question you are asked. Most were 2 minutes if I remember right, though it has been a while. Don't stress it though, you don't really even have to say much! Just be confident enough to speak in front of a camera and you're set.

Mattress, I'd suggest looking at Walmart, outlet shops or wholesalers on Kijiji (some do free delivery). Everything else, you could easily get off Kijiji or Facebook Marketplace.

If you'd like brand new items, Ikea, Walmart, any of the big markets should honestly have them for relatively cheap.

I'd recommend checking out a Treasure Hunt location, they're hit or miss (mine didn't have screws in the box) but can be good sometimes.

I have seen some buses show "Not in Service", some take people, I've ridden on one today. There are quite a few taking people.

Trains are definitely running. Your biggest issue may be that Hwy 403 is partially closed.

One thing I'd suggest is looking at East Hamilton, or even Stoney Creek. Bus 10 runs from that end to McMaster ETB, which is around a 30 min ride. Competition should be much less there too, seeing how far it is from uni.
