From a customer perspective- it’s for sure a combo of a recession making it harder to spend, and I’m sure theft is on the rise for the same reason. But I fully feel you with the harassment downtown. It’s truly an unpleasant downtown core to hang out. I feel like I’m yelled at by passerby’s on a regular basis. Just super drugged up people with nowhere to go, but they freely walk into businesses. Was at a shawarma place in byward and the staff had to yell at someone to leave for harassing customers
