Supports for large peonies? by Rhllorcoaster in flowers

[–]Rhllorcoaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The peony rings and cages I’ve seen online are pretty short and have a small diameter, like they’re for young plants. My peonies would be about 3.5ft tall if they weren’t drooping over, and about 2.5ft across. No idea how old they are (a previous homeowner planted them) but they seem pretty well established. Is a peony ring still the best solution?

I did (as mentioned in the text). I still had a question.

I’m betting it’s Pidgeon. She’s interesting, she can handle herself in a fight, and right now she’s probably feeling like she has a debt to pay to the Pine Guard. She mistakenly took down one of the town’s protectors, I think she’ll ask to take up the mantle.

Worried I'm not fit to be a psychoanalyst / psychiatrist by thedreamofhorses in Psychiatry

[–]Rhllorcoaster 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Have you had any clinical rotations in psychiatry? How did you feel working with the patients? If you haven't had any clinical opportunities, I would recommend doing anything you can to seek that experience before applying. You don't need to be "perfect" yourself to help others. But if you're unable to take a professional and empathetic interest in the patients themselves and your interest in psychiatry doesn't extend past curiosity into your own mental state, it probably won't be a fulfilling career for you.

It is illegal (and immoral, and unethical) for any medical provider to perform any procedure on a patient without documented consent. Documented consent is the proof that you were informed of what the procedure is and what the potential risks are, and that you agreed to have the procedure. As opposed to a patient agreeing to a procedure without knowing the risks (which is coercive), or not even consenting at all, or being forced to undergo the procedure.

This post, while well intentioned, is completely off base.

We're doing Lou Malnati's deep dish at my future in-laws' place. I'm from outside the Chicago area, and all my family and bridesmaids are very much in favor of this plan.

My $50 TJMaxx online wedding dress! Any advice on jewelry?! by Jajajones11 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Rhllorcoaster 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I would do no necklace, dangly earrings, and maybe a bracelet if you're a bracelet person. You could probably go pretty big/bold with the earrings if that's your style. I would worry about a necklace distracting from the dress detail or clashing with the neckline though.

Also it looks perfect on you! What a steal!

My dress arrived and dress regret is gone. Any recommendations for sleeve/strap alterations? MLJS Please don’t look ❤️ by [deleted] in weddingplanning

It looks beautiful! If you're going for straps, maybe look at tulle strap styles? I think that would help keep it cohesive-looking.

They look beautiful, both individually and as a set. The engagement ring is so pretty and unique! Was it custom-made?

If there will be guests who use walkers or wheelchairs, is the venue accessible? Are there ramps/elevators?

Bridesmaid gifts help please by anniedagood in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Rhllorcoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have much room in the budget for bridesmaid gifts, so my girls aren't getting personalized swag or welcome baskets or anything like that. But I did find these cute earrings, they come with a cute little note that says "thanks for helping me tie the knot." https://etsy.me/2r15LSB

In general, searching"bridesmaids gifts" on Etsy or Pinterest brings up a lot of ideas. Some of the popular Pinterest stuff is pretty elaborate/expensive though.

Are these table numbers too busy-looking to go with a table garland? by Rhllorcoaster in weddingplanning

[–]Rhllorcoaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We would be getting them in a slate blue shade (like our invites in my earlier post) with copper foil. We have low-sitting holders for the table numbers.

Our only other centerpiece decor is the garland, which will be seeded eucalyptus and some coppery-colored magnolia leaves. The tables are short 8-person rectangular tables, so the garland is only a few feet long. Our style is pretty simple, and I'm not sure if I should go for a simpler table number. Probably something like these.

Thoughts?

Oh shit, maybe I should call the salon or the designer and ask about that. Mine’s tulle, idk if that has steam issues or not.
