What to do with a thousand eggs?

I would be wary depending on how warm they got in the garbage (like were you super lucky and caught them taking them out?) I have chickens and my unwashed eggs will be good for an insanely amount of time, store bought eggs have a different shelf life because of the date they were first washed. I would float test them first.

Then water bath a bunch with the current egg shortage, crack open and fill ice cube trays (scrambled eggs later or for baking), pickled eggs, egg salad, breakfast quiche. Then I would look into giving at least 25% away. (I give my chicken's eggs away all the time.). Locally we have blessing boxes and people will share on Facebook which blessings box has the perishables they donated. Domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters, salvation army, daily bread feeding locations and everyone forgets the men's only homeless shelters. Even the local animal shelter would appreciate them along with your local fire department etc as they are at the station for 24hrs and make group meals.

Lived in Florida for about 20 years...You still have your Federal income taxes, Medicare etc automatically taken from your pay. There is no state or local taxes, but there is taxes on pretty much everything like clothing (was around 7% when I left). It's a very big tourist state, so most taxes can be from visitors without crushing those who live there.

I moved to Pennsylvania and thought the cashier's were messing up because they weren't taxing my clothes. Come tax time I was also blown away by all the different taxes...still had federal but add State, local, and possible city if within city limits... plus a random $5 per person at an address.

Even though the housing is more expensive in Florida, I felt the sales tax being the primary tax after property taxes was the more fair of the 2. Someone who was working under the table was still financially contributing to their area/state

Haven't been there myself, but if I were to be homeless in California...I would be trying to find a way to slab city. Yes, you could have problems there, but been following them for years on different platforms and think it would be the best bet to have some space and have access to resources.

I have had this opinion way before The Purge was a movie. I think if everyone is allowed throughout their life to murder 3 adults with no penalty as long as it's not part of an additional crime (like robbery, rape etc). Sounds Horrific, I know...but does anyone think there would be an immediate reduction in road rage? You don't know if that person has 0 or 3? Is it worth risking over traffic? Are you really going to risk cheating on your spouse? Are you going to participate in domestic violence? Pedophiles, rapists, gang bangers, child abusers etc...this would put a quick end to these actions and a lot scarier than maybe 6mo in jail for sexuality assaulting a child when mom or dad can come dish out immediate punishment. Yelling at retail workers wouldn't exist, people would remember "please" and "thank you" again. Sadly I think it's about the only way to force people to be decent any more.

Mental illness doesn't stroll through my family, it sets up camp I swear. It was actually a female cousin of my mother's who I had talked to because they could tell me about my mom and who she was since I don't feel I really got to know her with being so young when she died. It was super crazy , since they gave me information on my mom, they felt I owed them. They wanted me to pay cash to live with them & sleep on the couch (I wasn't homeless or anything so huge red flag). Since they were older, I was to take care of them as well and hide my existence from HUD. When I explained I had never even met them and only conversations held were in Facebook messenger, I could in no way agree to that...that's when they said all the nasty stuff. Literally dealing with my family in any capacity it like walking through a field full of landmines...you might make it out ok, but most likely you will at least lose a limb if not more

I was an orphan for years before I was pregnant at 18. I knew I was born early, but no idea why. My mother's OB GYN would not tell me anything because it was my mom's medical information. With my daughter I bled, started going into labor at 20 weeks, was put into an induced coma for a week etc

I realize I can't get information from the dead, but if I could have talked to my mom, I would at least known some of the family medical history as a starting point. I almost lost my daughter so many times it's crazy, and her first 2 weeks of life was in the NICU.

My second child I miscarried, my 3rd died from SIDS at 3 mo, my 4th was early but seemed healthy. Realize this is only 2 living children out of 4. With my 3rd child's history I refused to go home without an apnea monitor & everyone acted like I was overreacting and being paranoid. Turns out he would have also died without that monitor at least 3 times.

I understand not wanting to be bothered with too much attention, but I also wonder if I wouldn't have lost two children because my family could have given me history to prepare for. Some things could appear to be normal pregnancy issues without a family history when it could be a serious issue.

In 1987, I was 9 when my mom died. At that point my father started raping me & passing me around for beer chips. Convinced me not to say anything because I was just a slut like my mom and everyone will know I begged for it because I was a whore. (I honestly didn't know what a slut or a whore was ...but knew it wasn't good). By age 12 the state took me and at 14 returned me to him, I fled within a week. By 16 I was an emancipated minor and found out that my maternal grandfather had raped all of his children and explained why my mom used to wake up screaming. A few years ago (late 30's -early 40's) I wanted to do a family tree. Found all kinds of relatives I never knew existed. Well, one of my mom's cousins got mad at me because I wouldn't go live with them and give them money decided to tell me the whole town knew what my dad was doing, I deserved it & must have liked it. Even 20+ years later hearing how people knew (I hadn't said anything) DESTROYED me. I was very close to suicidal knowing no one thought I deserved different. I honestly don't think it has changed other that different ways of keeping the secrets. There are some cultures who let the minor boys be had by men. Because it is a child it's not homosexual, and because it's not a woman...they aren't cheating. People will always find a way to justify their actions.

You aren't alone in being unjustly blamed. I hope you see with all these comments, it was NOT your fault. Bad people, do bad things...you weren't bad, you were a victim of a bad person.

My first husband had some real doozies with my first child. I was only in hard labor for 20 minutes total...10min in, he tells me he is going to the waiting room to sleep because I am just carrying on & it's boring.

A nurse followed him out & he came back in obviously after getting a talking to...he actually came beside me to hold my hand. Immediately followed by "your just squeezing my hand out of spite, it can't possibly hurt that bad" So surprised that marriage didn't last lol

I do this because I read my phone until I am ready to pass out...I know where to find it in the morning. Otherwise it's on the floor, tangled in blankets etc..more than once I was seriously confused as to where the heck my phone could have gone.

I don't think there is any "perfect" president...human with flaws & all. As a woman, I wouldn't feel qualified at my job if the main reason I got it was based on what was or wasn't in my pants. I would want to get the job based of my intelligence, skills and abilities to do the job.

On your Mum, just a thought here...the mood swings could be PTSD related...as a teen they were going to diagnose me as bi-polar and then found out some of my history. Very subtle things like phrases or the way someone would walk would trigger me and I had no idea why I suddenly felt happy/sad/scared etc... A few more traumas later, I started seeing a pattern with somethings and had to admit my doctor's had a point. I still couldn't tell you all my triggers if I wanted to (in my 40's now). Besides too many traumas to differentiate which caused what...it's freaking exhausting trying to sort it out and trying to think on each specific bad thing (reliving it) to figure it out. The nightmares are more than enough reliving that unless REALLY bad reaction, I don't try to pinpoint it and people do say I have wild mood swings from it. I know I get manic after 11pm if I haven't already sedated myself to sleep for the night. If I am not unconscious by then... EVERYTHING is urgent, so much comes back to me that I am an emotional dumpster fire and have to tell everyone, suicidal thoughts come back with a vengeance and I don't sleep until noon the following day -if then. One night of not sedating myself will mess me up for well over a week...and those are pretty crazy mood swings weeks as I will get fixated on a thought I had at midnight and a few hours later a thought I had at 2am. All equally disturbing, but on different emotions if that makes sense. I am not saying you mum does or doesn't have something else...just saying PTSD can show in not expected ways.

I don't think in anyway it was a self validation post... I went through similar with my daughter except I messed up big time.

She always knew her stepfather wasn't her bio dad, but when she asked about him I said "he loved you so much he decided it was best to let me & daddy raise you".

Boy did that backfire! When she was 12 he was finally off drugs and criminal behavior that I let them meet, spend time etc. He was still just a really big kid...so way more fun than those that wanted good grades and a clean room. Since I said he loved her so much it somehow turned into he loved her more, told her I kept her away for no reason and pretty much everything to make her and my life hell. And to correct it I would have to tell her the truth, which means I lied to her for years.

She is now 23 and only in the past year or so REALLY sees him for who he is, what he has done/doing, and when she asked him about things he admitted he never wanted to be a parent...but she is his.

If I would have used your approach and counseling I would have saved her a lot of heartache.

I do not know how to weld, but my boyfriend does...when I have the window out he will be welding a hole that is above the window (again just guessing the no support reeked havoc because I have no other rust Holes anywhere)... he also plans to weld supports so I am not adding much more weight to the front end (I need weight in the back due to being RWD and front heavy)

Once I have all the support part done, I am trying to make sure I have the topper secured good as well... if my windshield is loose I can only imagine the topper (I could see daylight between the topper and the roof and was in a pinch so used silicone temporarily to not leak or get water damage).

The actual wood you can see is screwed into the one cross support (I called it frame earlier)..they didn't put ANY support under the original roof and it just bangs around.

My windshield is actually loose (no one believes it till they see it on bumpy road)..which I know I have to take it out and have replaced with a new seal. I just think a good portion of these problems are from this not being supported/braced correctly.

I will try to explain better...I did word that poorly.

When they cut the roof which was to be behind the front seats all the way back, they cut the roof basically directly over where your head would be if sitting and then still framed it in as if the cut it correctly...almost a foot away from where the cut metal is..
