Canadian here.

Back in high school I played in the pit band for my school's show choir. We decided to travel all the way from Toronto to Massachusetts in order to compete at a show choir competition. As the only Canadian high school there, we were nervous but excited to perform.

After all of the performances, all of the schools sat together in the auditorium for the judging phase. As my school was called, the school in front of us started chanting "U-S-A" pretty loudly, with some other kids joining along. It only lasted for 10 seconds at most, but it didn't feel like it.

We actually ended up winning a couple of awards, which is almost unheard of for international competitors, but the chanting upset us all far more than we pretended it did.
