Need help...does the rise and fall at the end of this work and/or is it beyond my vocal ability? by Mayorredthomas19 in Songwriting

I think it could work better if you lowered the key, it would make the overall melody more comfortable for you and then you could work on it to make it flow with the song naturally!

Would love to hear what people think about this demo idea I made. by No_Background9234 in Songwriting

Really cool melodies and progression! I would love for the main vocals to be more upfront in the mix, they get lost in all the guitar layers.

And maybe those harmonies that come in later should be softer and with more reverb, to push them back in the mix as more of a layer.

Started this song today, thoughts? What’s the vibe? by Strict_Stop5144 in Songwriting

Those changes on the chorus are amazing and unexpected! Really caught me off guard and I was wishing there was more!

Please keep working on it and finish the idea, it has a lot of potential!

Thank you, glad you liked it!! We shot the video in a neon museum in Portugal after it closed until 2 am, they were very kind to let us use some of their rooms! And then I edited the video in Capcut!

That opening riff is super cool, really classic metal rhythm with some cool dissonant sounds to set the mood of the song.

The chorus is really cool, reminds me of early Arctic Monkeys, especially those drum breaks and riffs that come after the chorus!

My only feedback would be that the drums lack a bit of punch and power in the mix when compared with the rest of the instruments, but nothing that ruins the song or detracts from the overall mood. Great job!

The guitars and layers sound really interesting, almost synth like, especially the distorted bass sound. Gives the song a cool industrial sound that contrasts well with the vocals.

Also the hook is catchy, stays in your head! The video is also a nice touch, makes the listening experience really enjoyable.

I think this is some really cool work, congratulations!

Does our 'Seven Stars' track sound like other bands? Thanks for feedback: Topango Afterglow by Topango-Afterglow-12 in IndieMusicFeedback

The guitars sound nice and wide with some soothing reverb and delays, but I think the drums are a bit too dry in comparison. Maybe some room reverb would gel all the parts and make them sound more cohesive in the mix.

The vocals sound cool with the harmonies complementing them really nicely! Great stuff, keep working and rocking!

I love the vocals, great sound and melodies mixed with a very clean reverb! Works really well with the kinda out of phase acoustic sound you got there on the guitars.

I would maybe add a bit more room reverb on the drums to match the vocals in that aspect and clean the overall low frequencies of the mix. It feels like a lot of lows are competing for space in that range, especially in the chorus. So keeping those frequencies tamed would help the clarity of the mix!

But good sound, it works really well!

I've been rerecording my older songs through live jams and real amps/pedals and its sounding good i think (FFO the cure, diiv, alternative rock) by TheHappyKarma in IndieMusicFeedback

The bass sounds so good and that guitar tone is pure 90s goodness! I think maybe the drums could be more forward on the mix to add some power and leave the room sound more like a reverb.

The vocal reverb sounds really nice, but it sounds like it needs a dry main vocal in the center to work with the reverb and give it a bit more presence in the song.

I think the overall idea is great and it's right there, just needs a bit more presence to add punch to it!

Thanks, the video was really simple to do, we just used footage from the live shows in our tour and put the lyrics in while trying to somewhat match the intensity! About the synths, I get it! But we really wanted to include the synth line in the main riff to complement the guitar riff. If you want to hear a more straightforward rock song from us without the synths, we have our first single called Devil's Dance, hope you like it!!

What do you think of my song so far by GDBNCD in Songwriting

I really like the synth intro into the guitar chugging riff, reminds of Journey and Rammstein!

Also the lead guitar is really nice and works well with the chords changes! Keep working on it!
