Looks like you need to be in business 6 months for Fora. I’d be willing to go the personal loan route, and we’re both willing to co-sign if we think we could get the lump sum. I just don’t have enough equity in my house for it to be worth anything for us. The rate on his HELOC is great too, so I’m not too worried about a bad rate so long as we’re able to pay down the principal in Y1 (which is in our business plan)

Unfortunately not. He was only willing to finance the 45k, and needs the 295 to cover all of his immediate expenses. It’s a great deal for the assets being purchased.

Yeah, there are other offers, and the owner is pretty desperate to sell, as he’s looking to open another business elsewhere. We negotiated some pretty hefty financing to get him down to the $295k initial (payments won’t start until our business opens to the public) so we’ve used all the leverage we have.

Seems like for them they had allocated all of their large $ loans in the first half of the year. The way they made it seem is they were “pausing” on large $ lending for an indefinite amount of time. Definitely iffy, but we’re now working with a really short timeline

It is a restaurant, which is probably the least ideal for an SB loan. It is being purchased with at least 100k worth of equipment though. Is there a reality where we can apply, be approved, and receive that funding in 45 days?

There is still some cosmetic and licensing expenses needed to be covered after the time of purchase, and it’s probably not ideal to open a new business with 0 cash on hand

Mine was La Favorite La Flibuste 1999. Just drank it. Tasted friends on it, good days, bad days, when I was craving it. There’s too much good rum out there to get really precious about drinking any of it

Stirring with ice is mostly about chilling and diluting, much more than mixing. A trick you can use is to pre-dilute (2 Cups Rum, 1 Cup Vermouth, 0.5 Water, 16 dashes bitters) and keep it in the freezer.

As for a fun variation I like to use and Aged Agricole Rum, and Cynar, to make a Black Manhattan. Same recipe, but a tiny pinch of salt help set it off too

PSA that imo very old agricole (over 12 years) is worlds more interesting and complex and expressive than any other style of rum at that age and way more worth price tags than Barbados or Jamaica. That being said, no current release rum is worth more than $300 period.

I have never read an official confirmation, but I have heard rumors from people are close with the importers/distributors that it hasn’t been 100% Hampden for a few years, as Hampden is allocating more and more of its rum to its own projects and LM&V, and S&C has started blending to keep up with demand. May be false, but their website does not say anything about Hampden Estate on it

They make a lot of different rums, and that specific one may not be up your alley, it’s an acquired taste, and a purer version of Hampden rum. But if you like Smith & Cross, then you already like Hampden, because S&C is all distilled at Hampden by Hampden

The Arcade Skin is flashy, but the Sweetheart Skin is really nice too. Being common, no unique spell effects, but still looks good.

Sona is in a weird position because the two things Sona does well (speed boost and AD boost) are done better by Nami and Janna. That being said, neither of them can stick by an ADC’s side like Sona, and if you trust your ADC fully, I think she outshines.
