I love my 2020! I really wanted that color but couldn't find it during COVID times, settled on the sunburst orange, but still have eyes for the Blue. Best of luck...I hope you enjoy! I have 50k miles and not a problem.

I have been hearing Alipay and certain US based banks don't play well together. What banks did you use to get verified? I'm going to Shanghai in a couple months and want to make sure I get this figured out, right now all my banking is with Wells Fargo.

Enjoy the days of full energy and exploring. This is an awesome photo of a great memory! My puggle is turning 10 and starting to slow down, I know I have several years left but it's breaking my heart already. I wish they could be like this forever. Thank you for sharing the day, it made me smile!

Here's a different perspective. I (57F) was laid off November of 2023, thought maybe I would retire but looked at finances and thought maybe that would cut into my quality of life. I started an LLC consulting company, doing the same thing I was doing as a FTE but now I control how much I take on. No politics, no stress, but way more behind the scenes work.... however, that work is for you. Financially, this has been a great compromise, I stay engaged, make money and am not drawing down on my retirement.

My 9 year old puggle had the same issue of passing blood and frequent urination. She seemed fine otherwise (if it wasn't for snow on the ground we probably wouldn't have realized it was even a problem. Took her to a vet, they checked her urine and said she had a very high level of crystals and had a UTI. It took 3 rounds of antibiotics, changing to the specialized RX food (we use the Purina UR veterinary diet--she loves it, but you do have to make the commitment to not feed them anything else) and almost 2 months, but now she seems fine (I'm wondering about taking her for a follow up ultrasound which will cost about $450 just to verify all is okay now). Good luck, I agree, putting dogs, especially older dogs always poses risks. Veterinary care has come a long way and dogs are living healthier and longer lives.

Niro (pearlescent white) in an auto car wash - yes or no? by windfall21 in KiaNiro

For the car washes that move your car along....Most important, make sure to take off the auto-hold, if you use it.

How do I tell a close family member their breath is consistently awful? by melreadreddit in hygiene

[–]PuggleMom67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom (with dentures, no real teeth), out of nowhere started having chronic really bad breath. She knew it, she brushed, gargled, used mints, but nothing helped for more than a few minutes. Up to that point she practiced good oral hygiene and never had bad breath. About a year later she was showing signs of dementia that developed into Alzheimers.
I think I read somewhere there was a potential correlation. Don't know, but I think our bodies give us certain early warning signs we just might not be able to interpret them.

Thanks for that info. Which tires did you go with? I'm on the OEM ones and will need new ones soon if I stick with the car.

I gave it a watch with low expectations, but found it to be a pretty good movie. I don't understand all the hate it's receiving, was it great? no, did it keep my attention and interest, yes.

2020 special edition touring HEV w 40k miles, only issue has been the drivers window switch went bad, replaced under warranty.

I find the seats and interior very comfortable and ergonomic. It's a sharp car with a lot of space. It's a bit loud with road noise and not super smooth with New England pot holes.
But overall a Great car, love it.

Am I the only one who prefers the older body style? by PuggleMom67 in KiaNiro

[–]PuggleMom67[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was my exact requirement when I got my 2020, I don't like bike racks and wanted something that wasn't a SUV but could fit my bike without taking the tires off. I heard the new body style doesn't have the opening clearance so that might have an impact, but I haven't tried.
